Question: can we post items on here that are not Lego to offer in trade for Lego

I don't know if it has ever come up but before I post I wanted to check if there are any rules on posting items that are non-Lego to trade for Lego. These aren't electronics but consist of an unwanted gift card and some Batman action figures. Is this okay or is it a Lego for Lego/cash only area. And what would not be okay to be traded (Obviously not pets or children).

I would imagine you'd be OK if you did it in the "Off-Topic" section? I don't know...

@CCC put cigarette cards up recently to trade for Lego and that was in the marketplace.

Which Batman action figures are they?

@SuperTramp‌ I have the 1980 Joker Cycle. A group of Arkham City figures and the SDCC exclusive Dr Hugo Strange figure. Plus a UK unwanted clothes voucher (£20).

@Redbullgivesuwind‌ - I might be interested in those Arkham City figures. I will send you a PM.

Yep, I did, in marketplace. Didn't get any takers though. Personally, I don't see any problem with it - it does involve a trade with Lego. But if any mods don't like it, they can easily pull the post and let the poster know. So long as it's a one off, and not continually bumped.

Thanks @CCC I think you are right the mods will adjust it if it is not suitable. Out of interest what were you offering?

I don't foresee any problems advertising such a trade here. Good luck with it!

Thanks @Huw. They have already gone. Maybe it would be worth outlining in a mod what would be acceptable to trade. Or do you feel it is better to rely on common sense?

I don't think we need set any rules. I can't think of anything that would be inappropriate to trade TBH, except porn maybe :-)

I look forward to seeing the trading of assault weapons by the US contributors. How many Uzis to an AK do we think?

The Lego section at one Walmart I frequent is literally adjacent to the ammo aisle.

Makes sence.....a bullet does a better job at stopping a bad guy instead of the bad guy stepping on Lego while on your property.

I think a ratio of three to one would be great. How about some m4s anyone?
