Lego 364 Harbour Scene 1975 - Advice Please

Hi,

I joined the Brickset site a while back after getting into the Mindstorms kits.

However, I've recently been clearing out my attic and found a Lego 364 Harbour Scene set from (I think) 1975.

Wanting to save up some money for Christmas my first thought was to put this on Ebay (UK) but then I thought it might be best to seek some advice from the Brickset members.

I really have no idea what the set may be worth. I can't see any instruction booklet and have no idea if all the pieces are there.

Could forum members perhaps give me some idea of what I should be asking for this set (in it's present condition and if I manage to find some instructions and have time to put it together).

Many thanks.

Your set might have fetched quite a lot of money if it was a complete set. But that depends on how much demand there is for such a set. And you should see what you have with the set or what's missing before you think about assessing the value. For instance, if you're missing the box and instructions but have all the parts in excellent condition, then you may have a chance to sell it for quite a sum.

But you should do a search on your local Ebay and see how much the same set would be worth in a similar condition ( ie, with or w/o instructions, boxes, etc ).

There is one on Ebay selling for 249 pounds right now, the box for sell has the original packaging, instructions and stickers.

Brickset has a very handy link to the Bricklink price guide information that shows any recent sales on Bricklink for set 364.
From the Brickset page 364, scroll down to see the "Links" section and there you will see the link to the Bricklink price guide. It looks like there were no sales in the past six months, but 2 new and 10 used sets of 364 for sale priced between US $90 and US $1310. So yours may be somewhere in between. ;)
You can also view the sets for sale on Bricklink to determine how their condition compares to yours to get a apples-to-apples price reference.

Thanks so much to everyone who has replied so far.

  • And with this particular set, the cardboard "baseplate" and it's condition would be a big factor in it's worth.
