Love the sets, must haves for me.
Really, I suspect even after seeing the inside details it will not work as a mystery mansion for me.
Having said that, it will work as a nice addition to my Halloween display.
As an aside, @tamamahm, do you have any pics of your display? I'm curious as to what others are doing.
Wait a minute....Lego needs to do a Thundercats set.....Ideas here we come
But then i saw that mystery machine image and was immediately blown away by how utterly great the whole thing looked. The whole thing is spot on. Figs, great. Mystery machine, great. I even like the Tree and 'ghost'. Very true to the show. GREAT! I'm in.
BUT then I spot the veritable wall of stickers that make up the van... uuggh. The whole vehicle is plastered in stickers... even the tree could be a sticker. Interest dashed in a heartbeat. I know stickers are cheaper than printed parts and bring costs down/speed production up and all that jazz, but Zoinks! I have a limit, Scoob.
Besides which, production savings - wherever they are found - are as likely to convert into improved profit margins rather than reduced rrps, so i'm not sure that fans ever really benefit from such savings anyway.
But whatever the ins and outs of such decisions, it is what it is, and sadly for me a set plastered in stickers to such a degree as this dumps me squarely back into the ambivalent camp again, and could therefore result in my giving it a miss if not scored in a sale.
I'll have to wait and see whether or not leaving off the stickers loses too much of the character. Such a shame if it does. But had this been printed? I'd have been over this like a rash, even if it meant paying extra for the privilege. I wonder how much of a potential wider audience (beyond the die-hards) might be missed due to this 'saving'. Hmmm....
Re: Thundercats. I always felt Chima was the 'Thundercats line that never was'. I wondered whether they considered the license, didn't get it, but had prepped production just in case. So if Thundercats didn't occur, then it would be an in-house animal line... we got Chima. (I would've loved Thundercats).

I am rather disappointed in it. I like the old minifig head pumpkins much better. Much more classic lego.
Great........ So much for me getting the MM set! I want PRINTED stuff that'll last, not stickers that I don't use!
If I wanted stickered parts, i'd go buy a mega bloks set that I want
On that subject (pumpkinhead), with the Halloween-themed CMF set this year, I'll be a little surprised/disappointed if they don't make use of the pumpkin in that series for a less scooby-cartoony version of a pumpkinhead, perhaps with scythe, as a haunted scarecrow type fig.
...Is scooby wearing flying goggles? If so, that's a fun fig right there.
I'm pleasantly surprised by how good the lighthouse set looks though. If i was going to buy any scooby sets, they were likely going to be just for the iconic bus and main cast, but that set looks pretty neat.
I'm not surprised to see it being reused either, hair pieces are a lot easier to argue that while they might have been made for a certain character they are not specific to a certain character unlike things like moulded heads etc.
"I'm only getting the Mystery Machine" > "Oh, wow. That castle is awesome and I need Velma." > "The lighthouse is pretty cool, too." > "....might as well get the Headless Horseman to complete the wave."
I'm weak.
The light house looks pretty good as just a "spooky light house" for any theme. The plane is iffy but I can see that it's going to be the smaller set. The first two pictures we were shown looked much more promising. :)
