Went to store 2. Many sets across many themes with clearance stickers in shelf. All were scanning sticker price. Most from 20-30% off WM price. Not bad. A couple a little higher, couple little lower.
Now to gamble if stock will stay so I can snare at next discount - and check a couple more stores.

BTW, the department managers get "clearance dollars" and can apply them at times however they like. They may get $100 and apply $5 off on 20 sets or $25 off on 4 sets, or any other combination. It is good to get to know who those people are.
Today, however, most managers know that lego will move without the discounts, and they want to move out slower moving toy items, so that is where most their clearance dollars go now.
But I do know when they do allocate the clearance discounts, it is when shoppers are around, so it never hurts to ask them and give them suggestions.
One thing many people dont know or even do, is you can negotiate with Walmart on prices. Outside of clearance items, I had to buy a bunch of trash cans for resale, went to the store manager with my resale card and the purchased the cans 15% off of the posted price.
A few years back I found a 5-6 LEGO Minecraft sets ($70RRP each) on top of a shelf that was all toy clearance. They were all smashed....so I checked prices....still full price...found a dept. manager...told he I was going to give them to the local library for their LEGO league....he said they were run over by a forklift but the best he could do was get the store manager to knock off 10%.
** Can't stores like Walmart, Target return damaged LEGO to get some/most/all of their money back? They use to
