If you need the First Order Star Destroyer, the store on Federal and Evans had about 10 of them at $79 yesterday. I got one of them, and their last $74 Heavy Assault Walker at the same time.
(And I didn't even have to move to Virginia to do it!)
*crosses fingers*
I live in a relatively big city/area, so I’m always surprised I find as much clearance as I do that hasn’t been hoarded yet. I always figure I should see more people out there clearing shelves.
In addition to some of the recent posts above, I did find the Scarecrow Harvest of Fear set for $15, which was a nice find.
Ah, that makes alot of sense. Thanks for the explanation.
That's a great deal! One of the best deals I got was a REALLY large Batmobile for $30. I should have bought two. The one I did build was when my now teens sons were younger and it managed to get "re-bricked"...lol...along with all my Star Wars Lego collected up to that point :(
Me too as it was through the bulk buying that I got tons of freebies to donate to children's hospitals. On the other hand, when a whole new season's/year's line get's release <cough> Star Wars </cough>, that buggy is filled for ME....LOL. I can't believe they're releasing Hans Story this May.
With the exception of the Battle on Scarif for $25, those other 2 are out-of-this-world deals as those sets scare the $150 range! KUDOS! You are talking about the newish AT-AT walker and the new FO Star Destroyer, right?
Just got home from a third store where I nabbed the last two #41148 Elsa’s Ice Palace for $35. Particularly sweet since I saw the shelf tag for that price at two other stores but there were none left, and the boxes I bought were marked $54.
And THIS was in a WalMart? Amazing! I'm also assuming not returned/damaged, etc. If so, I may be able to go back to mine a get some refund. Done that kind of thing before. Store# and location would be useful if you have it, please. ;p
I’m in MN. I’m fairly sure a Walmart in GA would not price match clearance prices in MN, but you can always ask. Typically, price matching other stores’ clearance is against their rules.
I appreciate the info and advice. I'll be discussing it with the wife asap to see if anything can be done because and money saved equals more Lego sets...;P
I know. I used to be one and in competition with them till I turned back to the "light-side"...lol.
@abordoli yeah, whole sets aren't worth it, I part out on bricklink. $2.99 CMFs are before my time, $3.99 isn't really worth it for me either even if I pick out just the higher value figures
yeah, $3.99 makes it hardly worth the gas.
All I can say is about time. After phantom stock everywhere finally hit $79 destiny bounty and $69 ultimate batmobiles. Thanks Walmart employees for not updating prices on the shelf.
The frustrating thing is there is a store that shows three in stock and they are nowhere to be found. Management just shrugs it off. I mean, no biggie that $500 of one sku is missing.
Didn't see any Destiny's Bounty sets (Brickseek agrees), I definitely would have jumped on it for $80 if they did.
