Agree. This is the right way to do it. If available, buy at the lower price and return the higher price one. If not available at lower price than keep the one you got and be content. Price adjustment to something that they ran out of does not seem right. Just my two cents.

I was told that Walmart will make the price adjustment for you if it is a week or less.  I used this policy to get additional discounts on some Star Wars Lego sets this summer.  There were none on the shelves, but it was still in their system at the lower price.  If its over a week, you might try buying one from the shelf and then returning it on the more expensive receipt.  If there are none on the shelf and it is later than one week, you could take your chances for it to be returned to the toy department.  There is that slim chance though that someone else will see it before you do and snag it at the cheaper price.

So, I just bought TLBM Scuttler online for $69 (giggity) and change.  I was hoping to snag it for $30 at the local WM this morning, but the customer service guy assured me that if I did a site to store thing, they would correct the price after the fact (he saw it was much cheaper, had I found it in store).  Anyone have any luck with this?  (And yes, I realize there has been a lot of talk on related matters over the last few days, but I'm currently at work and honestly looking for input to this particular pickup method).  Thanks!

That sounds ridiculous.  If this were the case everyone would be doing this since you can get so much online that is sold out due to crazy clearance prices at the store.  If he does do it for you I am sure it would just be an isolated thing.

The Wal-mart app is what I use, and it is surprisingly pretty nice.  You can also use it to say when you arrive for an in-store pickup, but whether or not that results in anybody getting up to get your order depends on the location.

Yeah, using brickseek to verify their stock (not 100% accurate but very close in my experience) then their app to verify price in store.

I was at Walmart for $30 Scuttlers, bought a friend's puppy daycare for my sister and a scarif Stormtrooper for my brother. I also found a #9483 Agent Mater's Escape from 2012 for $11. Nothing crazy off RRP, but I was shocked to see it sitting on the shelf, so I had to buy it.

Thank the maker for the Online store inventory site, otherwise I would have wasted a lot of time looking for the Ultimate batmobile for 99 and the Scuttler for 30. A few stores had them at that price, but no inventory.

The Walmarts in my area still have it for $99 and the store where I got mine still has the same 6 I left on the shelf.

All other clearance except for the Star Wars buildable figures and Lashina's tank seem to be gone. I found one Batman v. Killer Moth Mighty Micro hidden behind a slightly bigger non-clearance set.

That is wonderful,  I would get another one,  box damaged for the one i got and the store near me are gone,  or i can't find it at the stores while brickseek show in stock!

Got a Krennic Shuttle for $35 and the City Bulldozer Break-in for $23. Lots of good parts in the Bank for that price and the bulldozer is nice design.

I thank my awesome God I checked my Wal-Mart app before heading into work. I went by that same Wal-Mart afterwards, just 10 hours later, and the clearance section was cleared out of Lego! There must have been way over 100 sets between the Mighty Micros, Friends, Micro Fighters, creator sets, buildable figures, and such. All but 4 buildable figs and a Juniors sets were taken.

Happens to me a lot too: luckily, the stuff had only been marked down and moved sometime after 10pm the day before because I checked before I went to sleep. I just got a lucky break. Persistence will pay off. Keep it up!
