^ Sorry, I meant S16. I'm starting to lose track.

Found a few Secret Marketplaces for 50% off that probably weren't supposed to be on clearance. I left two for Little Timmette.

^I saw some too. Also noticed the Juniors Supermarket Suitcase for $9, but only at one store.

NIce find! I also found LEGO City Deep Sea Explorers 60095 for 29 dollars and the police station for 30 dollars at the Walmart near my house. I also hit up another walmart that to my surprise had the cargo train set 60052 for 62 dollars! If you get a chance now is the time to find the good deals. Good luck to everyone!

Do you live in a ghetto?  What is the median home price in your town?

I checked out another Walmart and found more stuff.  They had plenty of items so the deals are out there.  I got a Nexo Knights rolling fortress for $49.  If you use the Walmart app and it shows a aisle number, I think it is pretty accurate (80%-ish maybe).

In other words, drive East from Seattle and keep hitting WalMarts between Yakima and Minneapolis. I'm sure you'll find some dirt cheap deals.

I know there aren't many in the Bay Area.

No I don't live in the ghetto. Second of all where I live is none of your business.  I just happen to be fortunate to live somewhere that has several big walmarts  near a small one that people mistake for one of those neighborhood grocery ones. I have found if you drive from different cities that sometimes it's just luck when finding these discounts. I have also found some good discounts in a more rich area where people may not want to buy things on clearance. This seemed to be the case at a Target I was at not long ago.

That has been a similar trend for my city as well. Four walmarts spread out throughout town. In the "nicer" part of town, rarely ever any clearance. In the "lower income" part of town there is usually more clearance. However, I use quotations because it is all relative. The "lower income" part of town probably isn't that low of income per se, but it isn't as wealthy as the other part of town. But with that said, I rarely find clearance at any of them when I go. I must go at the wrong times since I basically gauge everything from this forum thread. They are far enough away from my work/house that I rarely make it to walmart.

Scored the FO Tie and FO transporter for $35 each and also got a Deep Sea Exploration for $57 and some change, tax included as the box was a bit mangled so I got an extra 10% off.  Visiting Western NY, my Walmart in VA NEVER has deals like this...

my Walmart in VA NEVER has deals like this...
This is how I normally feel but this time around, I found great deals on all three walmarts I stopped by.  I'm sure there are plenty others in the area that also have such finds as well.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352
Yeah, saw a ton of stuff 50% off. Biggest score I've had in awhile. Some of it would've been a good deal at 30%. Part out ratio of about 3 instead of 2? Fine by me. Got a #70735 Ronin Rex and 7 #76037 Rhino and Sandman. Crunching the numbers to see what to go back for.

I wonder if the lack of clearance items is due to Walmart stores located in neighborhoods that are, well "sifrino".
my googling tells me that word has something to do with foolish rich people

I only got Kylo's shuttle...I want the Hulkbuster and Avengers tower! I'll be visiting another store during lunch and hopefully they'll have more stock there, and maybe I'll get something from City or Superheroes.

I only got Kylo's shuttle because the First Order and Resistance Transporters don't appeal to me, but if they were 75% off (something that doesn't seem far off considering past deals withing the past few weeks), I'll give them a try.

@ryjay which WMs have you been to? You have posted before on a few of them so I just don't want to hit those up today. lol

    I grabbed a couple things:
    60080 - Spaceport $59
    70737 - Ninjago Mech Battle $30
    70735 - Ninjago Ronin R.E.X. $25
And a random Airjitzu set for $5

They all had old clearance tags, but the app showed the new pricing.
  • josekaleljosekalel Member Posts: 683
So...I gave in and got the Avengers tower ($30) and the Quinjet City Chase ($40) as well as one AT-AT Microfighter for $5.

I was able to stop by a Walmart that I am normally not near and I was able to pick up Avengers' Tower ($30), First Order Transporter ($45), Elves' Secret Marketplace ($30), and Rhino and Sand-man Team-up ($19). My LEGO budget kind of imploded at the end of this month. Maybe I won't be expected to make a car payment in August...

Priorities man...I was NOT supposed to have a LEGO budget for this month (I went on vacations), but then these sales happen.

So many beauties at irresistible prices but, darn it! I still must prioritize over other sets that are a must for me. That Ninjago Ronin REX is really tempting me.

Hit 'em all up, lol.  I usually visit Morgan Hill, Gilroy, 2 in Salinas, & Marina.  Gilroy has been the driest, very little clearance, but the asian lady is the toy manager, chat her up, and she will tell you want she is going to clearance & how she is going to use her clearance dollars.  Ask her to cut deeper and sometimes she will.

Dang! I was gonna hit up Morgan Hill. For some reason, I thought you were in Fremont.

So I'll hit up Story (SJ) and Milpitas. Not expecting much though!

Sets went to 50% off at my local WM. Picked up a bunch of sets, but missed a few I was waiting on to go cheaper like the Friends Hotel for $64. Going to return a couple that I also bought just a couple days prior at less of a discount.
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,352
I'm putting off taking my bicycle to the shop since I'm investing in BL inventory from this sale. Picked up #76029 Iron Man vs. Ultron Friday evening. I'll go back for more ASAP, 76029 was at the top of my list anyway.

Morgan Hill has clearance on most friends Pop star set and the original Elsa Castle at 30%  off.  Elves market #41176 at 50% off.  Star Wars #75140 was at $49, and still some stock. They had the Tie #75101 at $49, but all are gone.   No CMF at all, as of this past thursday.

I was weak and got the TIE and the Anakin Starfighter, which, I already had...

I went to five different Walmarts and some of them had no LEGO sets at any discounts (I checked the prices on the price checker, which in some stores is difficult to find). I felt extremely tempted to get the Police Station but realized that I wanted the fire station more, which was not on sale.

Again, I'm wondering if some of these sets will go on 75% off in a few days.

Because I like different stuff ("girl" stuff), I managed to snag some deals at an urban WM today.
I ~wanted~ the Master Wu's Dragon, but while the app said they were in stock, they were decidedly not. And while the app said this store had Elsa's Ice Castle for $5, they definitely did not. But, they had
    #41055 Cinderella's Romantic Castle $35
    #41094 Heartlake Lighthouse $19
    #41077 Aira's Pegasus Sleigh $9
Which I handily gathered into my cart. They also had Pop Star sets for half off, but meh. The "boy" lego aisle had scant discounts. Aside from my missing Master Wu. :|

I nabbed the following at half off, with the exception of Cinderella's Castle which I found for $25.
    Deep Sea Exploration
    Cinderella's Romantic Castle
    Emma's House
    Elves Treehouse Hideaway
    Elves Secret Marketplace

I really had hoped to find Jurrasic at 1/2, but no. I also wanted the pop star bus at 1/2, but no luck either,

Picked up multiples of 41055 Cinderella's Romantic Castle $35 - 75140 Resistance Troop Transporter $35 - 76029 Iron Man vs Ultron $5.00 - 76031 Hulk Buster Smash $15.00 - A few series 16 CMF and then something caught my eye,a single copy of 75017 Duel on Genosis amidst the new Star Wars sets.

My thoughtful brother WhatsApped me pictures of his local Walmart and got me a $59 Kylo Ren Shuttle, a $19 Master Wu Dragon, and found the last Elves Secret Marketplace hidden behind other junk on a bottom shelf for $30. Now hopefully he can stuff some of it in his suitcase when he comes to visit later this week.

Always remember to check the discounted price against LEGO MSRP (everywhere, not just at Walmart). Discounts are frequently posted against the highest price an item was sold for, and that may have been higher than the LEGO MSRP. I recently saw #60052 for 30% off at Target, final price $135. Walmart has the same price without the 30% off sticker.

I usually go with Amazon. Every time I see something on sale (anywhere) I compare pricing with Amazon. I know it's not the most reliable source, but Amazon (IMO) tends to have the best pricing on almost all items around. For example, the Kylo Ren Shuttle is $59 at Walmart and $109 at Amazon, which is almost 46%...great deal if you ask me. Now, I believe that we might see the leftover stock at 75%, but most of it will be gone already. The store I went to yesterday had no TIE or KR Shuttles left.
  • tamamahmtamamahm Member Posts: 1,987
I think it depends on your area as well. I almost never see Lego at Walmart for more than 50%.
  • beachbumbeachbum Member Posts: 33
Walked into walmart just to browse quickly for lego clearance, and was so surpised they had additional 50% off the yellow/clearance price no exclusions, legos included. But darn it all the clearance legos were gone! Only got 2 boxes of the 65 pcs duplo princess castle for $9...and a ton of those minions lego plastic packs for $1.25...not sure if thats a good price.

#41120 Adventure Camp Archery for $5.00
Went up to a super rural store to finally find my Master Wu Dragon #70734 for 19.00.
Nothing else of note on clearance, but the toy department was minuscule. The "girl" aisle was a collection of maybe a dozen different sets. Nothing good.

Grocery stores are crazy busy the first few days of the month from people using new food stamps, just FYI
Because I like different stuff ("girl" stuff), I managed to snag some deals at an urban WM today.
I ~wanted~ the Master Wu's Dragon, [and Elsa's Ice Castle] but while the app said they were in stock, they were decidedly not... But, they had [3 other "girl LEGO" sets cheap] They also had Pop Star sets for half off, but meh. The "boy" lego aisle had scant discounts.

    [At another store]
#41120 Adventure Camp Archery for $5.00, Master Wu Dragon #70734 for 19.00.
Nothing else of note on clearance, but the toy department was minuscule. The "girl" aisle was a collection of maybe a dozen different sets. Nothing good.
I like some "girl" LEGO too. Pop Star reminds me of my Lady Gaga phase, a few other sets also appeal to me, and I get some minidolls to populate my scenes. They're also worth considering for parting out, maybe because of rare colors and molds.
I just got 3 #41176 The Elves' Secret Marketplace. Ironically, saw 4 last time, and had more than enough money for that. I decided to not get another set (3+1 or 2+2), and didn't want to use several dollars in coins.
I got a Master Wu for $30 a couple weeks ago.
Both LEGO aisles at the WM near me had lots of clearance.
I got 41120 at Target for $8, reminded me of summer camp (ironically, a Boy Scout camp). The hedgehog and chair seemed unrelated; I put the hedgehog with other animals and BrickLinked the other parts.

Should be possible.[to pack sets in a suitcase]

Discard the boxes and the bags will be easy to pack.
I've done that to bike home from a store; but I often get creative in carrying the sealed boxes.

    [Minions] aren't LEGO products....
Yeah, other brands are often shelved in the same part of a store and stuff sometimes gets moved from section to section.
