I did a little searching using brickseek, and there are a couple of walmart's over an hour away from me that did lower the spaceport to $30.  I just don't have time to drive there and back for it.  Wish I could price match to my local store!

All the Wal-Marts in my area have it either at regular price (in stock) or $30 (sold out). The difference I've seen is that the stores with more shelf space are keeping them around for a while longer, and the smaller stores cleared them out to make room for new stuff. When I was looking to pick up a couple at $59, every store that had them for that price had nothing but crushed boxes.

I still have a few stores around me that have them at full price yet.  But it didn't matter in my area what kind of store it was....if anything it had more to do with the traffic/volume the store sells.

I just checked a store that shows in stock on the shuttle, didn't have it of course...

I also did a walmart clearance run this weekend, hit 6 or 7 stores in which all were supposed to have 4-5 things at 50% or so and I came out with 2 sets in total from all the stores.

It would seem the app right now and brickseek have some major issues due to something in walmarts system.
I also noticed a bunch of "in stock" sets show as sold by walmart.com and not the store, but they do show same day pickup. I'm wondering if walmart is starting to hoard some sets in the back and hope people will buy at full price via the site.

Then again and argument for or against this by anyone else is appreciated.

I've seen the same thing happen as well.Sets sitting on a shelf untouched for weeks until the discount passes 25-30% then they still show in stock but have vanished from the stores shelves.So they're either pulling them in back & selling online or perhaps they get more by donating the item to Goodwill rather than selling them at 50% off outright.
I had one Walmart that showed 2 Millenium Falcons in stock at $109,went to the store & nothing on shelf.I asked an employee to scan the barcode & tell me if they have them.He found nothing,a manager came by & scanned it & he said "they're on a truck but we won't have those in stock anymore". I replied "so that means you have them,but you don't have them....."
Came back early the next day & there they were,two brand new MF in crisp boxes, scanned at $109

The Walmart in Ashland, VA has at least 1 60080 that I saw for $30.  Box was beat up though.  Also saw the Avengers Quinn Jet Chase for $40 I think it was.

Brickseek helped me score a #60080 Spaceport for $30 in Jackson TN.  There is one more there if anyone local reads this........

Silly question... how are folks finding out about actual prices via Brickseek?  All I see on the website is availability, but not actual prices.

Took a trip to walmart at lunch and grabbed:

2x  60080-1 for $30.00, store still had 3 or 4 left, intially scanned with walmart app and price said $102 and they had stickers with $89.00 on them. Had to use instore scanner to get real price.

1x  31039-1 for $17.00, left a beat to hell one behind.


Was "fun" carrying a half a dozen sets to the scanner and checking prices since the app is completely useless at checking prices anymore.

^I've done that a few times, just scanned random sets in clearance and found a few priced lower than what the tag said. One being the B-Wing from 14/15. It had just came out and rang up at 20$...not complaining. And then some ninjago set was marked down to 64, but rang up as 21$...granted it was ninjago, but for 21$ I couldn't complain.

I was able to get one of the Sunshine Harvest but I would have loved to have found the mall or the old High school for my niece.

I wish I could find some of the deals at my local Walmart that some of you have found. I went to Walmart last night because I wanted to pick up a small lego minecraft set to use on top of a cake for my son's 8th birthday party. I was so happy to find the Iron Golem set. I love the design of this set so much. I ended up picking up the end portal as a gift. I've been sucked back into this theme.

Once again, saw the 60080 Shuttle set on the app for a store near me. They had it marked down to $30 last week and I went with no luck finding it, though I did buy 2 at that price the other day, now they have it at $15 with still no sign of it in store.

I'd like to think that the damned set it hiding somewhere if it got another markdown...then again the same store had two sets that were sealed shut with brown tape and you could hear every brick bouncing around so who knows what they are doing!

I went to Walmart today and was very disappointed with their offerings. According to Brickseek, they should have had #41101 Grand Hotel for $64, but this was nowhere to be found. I did find a #31039 with a badly beaten but still sealed box on the clearance shelf with a $9.00 price sticker over the barcode. As I couldn't scan it at the price checker, I asked an associate and they said that would be the price. Well, they didn't honor this at the checkout and said someone put the sticker there that wasn't supposed to be, and tried to sell it for full price. No thanks. The only thing I found was a #41071 Aira's Creative Workshop for $5. Not bad, but nothing special. Also, they had this joke of a clearance price:
I don't think I'll be returning to Walmart anytime soon.

Dunno if it is anger more than disappointment, especially if a tool is saying they are at a store for x price, but nowhere to be found. This is why I have given up trying to hunt down great deals that I hear about online. If I happen to be at the store and find one, great, but I have given up putting wear and tear on my vehicle only to find out the inventory count is off, or the price is not at any kind of clearance.

I'm not really suprised the tool didn't work, because something is always off with Walmart's stock. I'm more frustrated that one employee told me a price would be honored and then it actually wasn't.

I still think the inventory is probably correct more times than not, especially if an inventory tracker says it is in stock. The issue becomes where is it? I know of people that hide sets in stores to go back and buy them later so th st may be part of it. Or it could be in a trailer. Or in a box in the back. It is possible for items to be missing, but Wal-Mart has one of the most sophisticated inventory systems in the world. I am not sure however if the markdown process affects the inventory though. Maybe someone can give some insight on it. Forget the Wal-Mart app. It is just a guide.

I went to a Walmart yesterday where some sets were showing up as 70% and in stock at that store.  Upon arriving none of these sets could be found.  The only things I got were 2 friends mini golf polybags for $1.

Just curious...Does Walmart place their Lego polybags in the lego aisle or anywhere in the toy section?

I ask because I've been to many Walmarts here in California and I can never find polybags anywhere. I've even checkjed their front register areas and nothing. I have heard of some good polys being sold there but I can never seem to find them :(

Only times I have ever seen polybags they were randomly placed in the toy area.

1. star wars poly right on the lego aisle
2. poly bags in the clearance junk pile of toy section
3. an actual endcap display at the very end of toy section by electronics

Otherwise I never see them

@legoguyx they are in random places.  I can never find them when they are at full price.  But I found them at an end of a random aisle and in the clearance aisle before.

They had Series 12 still at my WM yesterday (ugh). They are like 4 series behind and they were still  $3.99. I live in a suburban area too like wth?

Saw a picture on IG today - a guy picked up several Marvel Quinjet/City Chase sets for $19.  So frustrating as a Canadian watching these clearance prices at Walmart because we barely get a sniff of anything like that here

I am new here...and my little one just started on Legos. ...I buy random ones on clearance. could someone point me to the right forum where I can find info on how to maintain legos, such as should I keep the original box, etc..just newbie questions to figure out what ppl are doing with their collections. ...thank you. btw, thanKS to this forum is found some great deals!  it is time consuming though to search and hunt down these clearance item. I found 4 space ports today wahoo.

I have a question when using brickseek to check wm inventory. if I enter a zipcode, how far/radius does it search? is there a option to select the radius or would I need to extend my search using nearby zipcodes? this is the tool is use, would like to know ow if there is any other tools out there. thank you!
