    ^ I can't help hearing Martika's Toy Soldiers when I see that minifigure :)

My personal favorite has always been Pepper from the Xtreme Stunts sets. He was always 'my guy' as a kid (I know... he's not that old, but neither am I) and so I've kept this one safe in my collection.

I love Pepper! He used to be my favorite until...

Here are a few of my favorites:

Indiana Jones-- Impressively captures the likeness of the character in Lego form.
Stormtrooper- Great detailing and he looks pretty cute with his oversized helmet.
Classic Space Blue Astronaut- Simple and somehow blue looks best.
CMF 6 Clockwork Robot- I dig the retro styling and the wind-up key.
CMF 6 Sleepy Head- Very original and he's a lot of fun to drop into any MOC to lend a dream land element.

    And probably my favorite minifig....
CMF 8 Diver-- Not a popular choice but I just love the detail that this little guy has. One of the few CMF series minifigs to have both front and back torso printing. The helmet is just great. Yes, he needs an oxygen hose, but the magnified window and expression of awe more than make up for it.

I'll second the deep sea diver from S8, it's the minifig that tipped me over the edge into collecting them seriously. I'd always liked them, but seeing that little guy, and his brilliant expression made me want more.

Other favourites of mine, Davy Jones for the fantastic detailing, Iron Man because he's one of my favourite comic book characters, the Maraca man from the CMF line, Stormtrooper because he just has so much character and the latest Boba Fett, his detailing is brilliant.

For me, from the licensed range my favourites are (in no particular order):

    Darth Malgus,
    The Comic-Con Batman
    Iron Man (Heartbreaker Armour)
    Mola Ram
    Boba Fett (2012 edition)

As for unlicensed sets, that is a bit easier to choose:

    Series 6 Roman Soldier

Original Blacktron.. simple, no need for special parts, and to the point, they are the baddies (although they smiled, which I guess makes their evil deeds that much more menacing)..
Also the Original Joker figure where he is bearing teeth in his smile.
I guess another would be the White pony tailed hair woman only found in some old LEGOLAND sets.. apparently for another 30 years no one in LEGOLAND aged until the gray/silver hairpiece for was introduced in the 2000's.

When I was a kid my favorite minifigs were:
    Ice planet Chief http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sp019
    Royal Knight; kight 2 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=cas063

Now is a bit harder to choose with how creative TLG is with minifigs now. Each minifig that is released now (especially in the collectable series) have something to offer.

As I was looking at the comments under the "Series 10 minifigs revealed" news topic I noticed a comment from @csilla77 about a favorite minifigure that would never be replaced. That got me to thinking, I'm fairly sure we all have one of those!

My personal favorite has always been Pepper from the Xtreme Stunts sets. He was always 'my guy' as a kid (I know... he's not that old, but neither am I) and so I've kept this one safe in my collection.

So I want to know, what minifigure will always be your favorite? Is it from your childhood? Is it because of a favorite theme? Maybe a newer figure that you just can't get over? Give me the story! Post a photo!

obsessed with Pepper! He (and Xtreme Stunts) doesn't get enough love around here.

Jango Fett. Great reproduction of the armour, but also really like the little radio mic printed on the head.

Currently, my favorite is this guy...

Not entirely sure why, he just is.

When I was much younger, my favorite was the black plumed forestman. The black and green combination made him look more rebellious than all the other Forestmen.

Maybe in the minority but as with my MOCs I dont like cartoonish figures or builts but nor do I like ultra realism. I prefer it all to retain very much a 'lego feel'. I like the older figures.

Wolf pack gets the vote. I also liked the grey peasant. I really dont like the lego figures with pink heads etc. Im fussy but it should all pretty much be yellow in my book.

Lego Islanders and Johnny Thunder were also really cool.

I think the joker in his prison jumpsuit from the new arkham is my favorite now! Luna Lovegood, Lady Liberty and Sleepyhead would definitely also feature in my list
  • iancam33iancam33 Member Posts: 407
I know it is not technically a minifigure but I always loved the original SHARK that came with the first pirates collection of the early nineties. It was great fun having him eat the pirates and capsize the small rowboats.

When it comes to detail and realism in a licensed minifig, in my opinion King Theoden cannot be beaten. He is perfect.

I understand this might not be to everyone's taste but I really like "unique" minifigures, even though there is an arguement that they are not actually minifigures! Sebulba, Gollum and Salacious B Crumb come to mind.

With regards to more conventional ones, the Clown and Wrestler from series 1 really blew me away when I first saw them. They were so unexpected. Sensei Wu, Mac McCloud (PQ) and the lady in blue from MVR - (cas490 Kingdoms - Peasant, Maiden) are also favourites.

My favourite licensed minifigs would be Darth Vader, Woody, Buzz, Theoden, Deadpool and Loki. All excellent representations of the source characters.

But if I had to pick one it would be the CMF Hippie.

The minifig I don't own but would most like to is the Angel key chain (852743) - anyone got a spare or two?

For me, I think one of my favorites is Bizarro. The second I seen him I just screamed "I HAVE TO HAVE THAT". I'm not even a big Superman guy, there was just something about that fig.

If only he weren't such an incredibly limited promotion and thus $$$ on the second-hand market!

Most of my favorites have already been named here, but from recent years, some of my absolute favorites are the Ninjago NRG minifigs, thanks to their unique color schemes and metallic paint highlights. NRG Cole is my favorite of the four. Also of note is the gold Lloyd figure from this year.

I would say Captain Redbeard has to be my favorite of all time for sure!

Following behind would be King Theoden and Batman among many others.

If Lego had done a Buzz Lightyear in Mrs-Nesbitt-livery, that would have been my favourite.

Too bad they didn't do one...

Way too many to choose from but my most favourite top twelve, it can be whittled down no more, in no particular order are:

    Ahsoka
    Disco Dude (Series 2)
    Mermaid (Series 9)
    Aayla Secura
    Shahan Alama
    Yoda (Origial variant)
    Cheerleader (Series 1)
    Alien (Series 3)
    Vampire Bat (Series 8)
    Dinosuit Guy (Series 5)
    Chickensuit Guy (Series 9)
    Hagrid

Out of all those if I had to pick a single favourite, my knee jerk reaction is it would be disco dude, but the more I ponder on it the more I make arguments for the rest of them, there is no hope for me!

This thread has got me wanting to purchase a few loose/used SW minifigs to display in my car, the spot currently taken with a classic red space man (to match my red GTI trim):

    image

Do you think Bricklink would be my best bet to get a handful of SW characters? By best bet, I mean, reasonably priced, and hassle free? Or should I just find the best deal on eBizzle? I'll be looking for:

    - Chrome Stormtrooper
    - Darth Vader (is there a "best" one? I'd love a chrome, but for the price…?)
    - Jawa (maybe a few, they're pretty cute)
    - Imperial Guard
    - Boba Fett
    - I also don't mind the Leia Boushh, but I don't think it suits my car :)

(Sorry to hijack the thread somewhat — I can't go past my classic red space man as a favourite :)

Love the LEGO figure in the car, he deserves a place of honor such as that!

Do you want it more than you want something else that costs $90 and are you willing to spend $90 on it? If you do it is worth $90. If not, it isn't worth $90.

Prices for things like that are such a personal opinion - there are always two answers - yes and no.

For me, the answer is no.

I still have soft spot for Bill and Marry. It makes my day when I see them in MOCs. I ended up getting #6000 for my kid and after paging through it countless times, he now shares the same fondness for these two minifigs.

    Darth Malgus or Mr. Gold
    I'm sorry.
  • CapnRex101CapnRex101 Administrator Posts: 2,364
@LegoRocco - I think Darth Malgus is fair enough as he looks incredible in Minifigure form as well as being an awesome (albeit somewhat obscure) character. But Mr Gold? Sure he is nice and shiny but he lacks detail and is quite underwhelming if you ask me (and I own a Mr Gold).
  • LegoRoccoLegoRocco Member Posts: 100
@CapnRex101 I think that Mr. Gold is a nice minifigure, and while I don't have one, I've seen one in person. He's really the first fig of his kind.
  • CCCCCC Member Posts: 20,556
In what sense? There have been shiny ones before. There have been rares before. There have been uglies before.

Of all the CMFs mentioned so far , no one has said the series 3 elf archer? He was frickin Lego Legolas before there was a Lego Legolas! I wasn't able to crack one so I had to buy him online but if I had cracked a hundred I would never have been disappointed.

Don't know about greatest Minifig but I recently came across Hitomi, from an obscure Exo-Force set. She looks awesome. Quite rare and an unbelievably expensive hairpiece. But I like the Head with the two expressions best.
