^ I think they were an extra 20% off last week; about $35.  Getting close to S@H Black Friday price, but wasn't quite good enough for me.
    Darn. Missed that!!!

    Quicksilver alone is $15.

I've seen #10682 Creative Suitcase for $49.98 at 2 different TRUs this week. It's normally $59.99 so not a huge discount, but its a decent price for 1000 pieces.

^^I was waiting for a good price and S@H came through right before Christmas. I haven't even seen the set at TRU, granted I haven't been there since Thanksgiving time probably.

Did TRU have a clearance coupon last year?  I know there was a decent markdown in February, but I cannot recall if it was just an additional % off sale or if there was an actual coupon.  Suitcase would be very nice to pick up at a bit higher discount.

You can get lucky and snag one for a little more or the same price on eBay. But they are a cool boxed collection to have.

On the homepage  that this is an upcoming  build and take at toysrus.  I'll be looking  to trade for one if any can pick up a spare!

Get a free Lego Street View collection with the purchase of any TRU exclusives in Canada. Cheaper sets are gone but I decided to pick up Detective's Office.
  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
So, umm, I might have gone back and bought a Pet Shop since selling Street View on the secondary market is a better deal than Double VIP points next month.
  • sklambsklamb Member Posts: 516
OK, I'll bite. What is a Lego Street View collection? Anything like the Bricktober mini-mini-modulars?
  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
Yes that's what they are. Hotel, Train Station, Bakery and Lego Store.
  • sklambsklamb Member Posts: 516
    Pretty good freebie, I'll admit!
  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
    What's the cheapest TRU exclusive?
  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
In Canada? Winter Toy Shop, and Ferrari.

20% off Creator, Friends, City, and Duplo at toysrus.com Friday and Saturday (2/19-2/20).   Some of these deals are price matched as amazon, as well.

Snow Plow truck is a good deal ($12.78, down from RRP of $20)
    http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=45476196

Many of the new 2016 sets don't have the TRU tax added on, yet.  So they are a clean 20% off.  Corner Deli and Lakeside Lodge are good examples.

That explains Amazons discounts on the same sets. 12.78 apparently was a good deal as they are gone from TRU now.
Tempted to get the Arctic Icebreaker. Was hoping for a price under 100 USD but guessing 112 is as good as it will get.

My TRU has a big stack of those Ocean explorer HQ sets. Comes out to $80 before tax and double points....wondering if I should grab a few.

This might just be the only time you'll see Tower Bridge on sale now. That is if you can find a store with it :p
  • KingAlanIKingAlanI Member Posts: 2,353
I just noticed there's a TRU 8 miles from me. I might take a look sometime when I'm already a few miles in that direction anyway.

    http://www.toysrus.com/category/index.jsp?categoryId=11386391&ab=Tru_homepage_aspot:2:20-off-LEGO-City-Friends-Cr
20% off a lot of City, Friends, Creator and DUPLO, only today and tomorrow.

Double rewards points on LEGO purchases, also just 2/19 and 2/20. Their program is similar to VIP: points per dollar spent, $5 credit at 125 rather than 100 points

TRU free shipping threshold is only $19

  • flordflord Member Posts: 797
I wish TRU in Canada would do rewards points. :/

S@H has sets on sale as well, most of the same.. It looks like someone is matching someone else...

That's very new, thanks for pointing it out. S@H has #41109 for $71.98 instead of $75.99 at TRU, and #31039 is one cent cheaper on S@H, #31045 is $11.98 versus $13.59, otherwise there's no overlap.

TRU also has several sets in other categories slightly off even when compared to real MSRP.

    The website does have #31044 : http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=66869626&prodFindSrc=search&cp=

#40201 is a cheaper similar LEGO dog, TRU doesn't have that, but S@H has it on sale

I hate S@Hs website.  I was looking at the sales page last night and it has nothing about these sets.  But when I look up the individual sets you mentioned, they are showing on sale.  I think I have to clear my browser, but why should I have to do this to get the dam website to work?

Thanks for posting that @MrJ_NY . Well that should 'correct' the price for the chicken suit guy, though that number implies it will be some sort of promo poly bag?

Meh, prices have Toys R Us' signature 10% markup already.  Not that great a deal.  It's more like 12-15% off.  Better deals have come and gone on Amazon.
  • goshe7goshe7 Member Posts: 515
Still not a bad price for T-Rex tracker or Indominus Rex.  T-Rex doesn't best the all-time low at Amazon, but it's better than almost everything we've seen for the past 3 months.  And Indominus Rex is  $0.28 more than Amazon's lowest price.

My toys R us had the 20% off signs up in the store as well, not just for on line, although I don't recall seeing it on the minecraft sets.  Almost bought a few Scooby Doo, but then reminded myself, "what for?", lol.

If they were of the Cadbury variety they would be a bit, um, runny.

Male chickens don't lay eggs (A rooster, also known as a cockerel or cock, is a male chicken) Which would qualify this cardboard house version of this minifigure as UCS  - Ultimate Cockerel Shack.
(I used the longer name to make the comment family friendly)

I got a notification email at 7 a.m. this morning and it was sold out within the hour. Awesome to see they're available again.  It says it'll ship between Mar. 4-8.

Very rare that a dude can lay eggs.

(And people collect costumed characters.  Plus, Target seems to sell a bunch of their cubes, so most retailers like to copy-cat.)
