#75912 Porsche 911GT Finish Line is half off plus free shipping.
That's a great price, for such a fun set. I got it months ago @ $29 in TRU, the kids and I had such a blast!

Thanks for the heads up!  It rings up for full price in-store but they just PM'ed it.

$100 TRU gift cards for $85 now on eBay, probably won't last much longer though.

If you don't have a TRU credit card, today might be the day to sign up. Today and tomorrow, certain stores are offering a 30% off coupon for all purchases (some exceptions, like "Hard to Find" LEGO) made on the day you sign up for the card. You may want to call ahead to see if your store is doing it, as only one of the two around me was giving this offer. The coupon could be used at both stores, however. Since they currently have all LEGO minifigs at 3 for $9 and all Friends/Disney at 20% off, as well as some sets like #75875 Ford Raptor/Hot Rod at 50% off, you may want to consider stopping in today--especially if you are already going for the Beauty and the Beast build.

Is the #75875 50% off deal in store only, and for how long?
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
What's the original marked up price for #75875?

^ #75875 had a shelf tag of $64.99, so I guess it was more than 50% off of that at $24.99, and with the 30% off, these came to less than $19 after tax.

It seems like it is in store only. I don't remember seeing what the sign said for the end date on this, but it said it began yesterday.

Edit: #75912 Porsche Finish Line also was marked at $24.99, but this was on sale through the website, too (sold out online), so I only saw two of these.

Looked it up: normally #75875 is $49.99, so I guess they wanted to make it look like even more of a deal.

Sounds worth getting another credit card and interest rate to worry about (and giving my soc sec # to a 3rd party) in exchange for a 30% off deal that will likely happen at some point in the year at TRU or likely at another outlet. Even if it stacks (which I would be surprised if it stacked with sale purchases) it is not worth it to me.
  • BillyBricks84BillyBricks84 Member Posts: 355
^ The 30% does stack with clearance prices. As @madforlego said, however, to each their own with finding value in this opportunity or not.

I saw someone post a scanner pic of the #75875 and it showed price good through 4/8.

No. They've had Mega Bloks events before; there was one in 2014 for the SpongeBob SquarePants theme. It's only the "first ever Mega Construx event" because "Mega Construx" didn't exist as a brand until recently.

I won't be able to attend this, which is kind of a shame since freebie events like this are a good opportunity to see what Mega's quality is like without having to pay for the stuff.

Not a bad deal at all on the 75875, though the sale was not advertised in any way on the shelf It had $64.99 - 30% markup, even worse than SW!!!  Grabbed one and left the other three.

I grabbed the Porsche deal.  Didn't see any of the F-150 at my Toys 'R Us, but I did see the sale sign with an empty shelf.

Both of these seem like sub par sets.  Even at 50% off I had to think long and hard about whether they were worth it.  The Porsche I know my son will like, but I wouldn't have bought them for myself even at that price. They are small vehicles with insignificant extra track type accessories that add little value or functionality IMHO.

^ I got the Ford set when it was released. Mostly because of a truck added to the mix. I like it. Not great, but pretty good.

The Porsche one was actually a pass for me when it came out, but at half price I like it. Decent number of parts and overall I have no problem adding to my Speed Champions collection. Like you, though, mostly for my son. He loves all of them.

Found the last Raptor today at my local store. Haven't found a Porsche. I won't hunt for it but if I find it, for $25, I'm in. I like the theme but this isn't one of the themes I'm completist about. At half off though, I'm in.

Thank you to all of those reporting on this deal, I was able to pick up two of the Ford sets #75875 from a nearby Toys R Us.  I also saw that there was no clearance tag on the shelf, but it did ring up as clearance on the price scanner.  It's a really great price, even though I have little to no interest in the set itself.  Like many here, I can't walk away from a great deal!

I found the on sale F-150 sets restocked at the Kingstowne TRU today.  I only took 1 leaving 2 more on the shelves if anyone wants one.

Despite my earlier grumbling on the set, a nice birthday present for my son for $25, but I think someone would have to be sniffing glue to pay retail for this thing... No offense if any of you actually did!  Ok, maybe just a little offense.  Can I sniff some of your glue?
  • spepperspepper Member Posts: 157
Just stopped by my local TRU, all F150 sets are gone! Gotta try other nearby stores...
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
My local TRU had a full restocked shelf this morning of the #75875 and still no sale sign.  They still scan at $24.99 though.

Used a 20% off coupon, the 10% Thursday discount and a 15% off gift card from eBay to purchase the TLBM Arkham Asylum. It was marked up to $159.99 but it was still a very significant discount. With a pod on the way, I just need the Scutler to have the complete minifig collection (until the new wave anyway).

Anyone know if the sale on #75875 is still going on in the new week?

For what it is worth, TRU is having a BOGO40 online, Arkham is at LEGO RRP and it part of the sale.
Also City Fun in the park is 29.99 and apparently part of the BOGO40 sale
Heavy Hauler train set is also part of the BOGO40 offer

Does anyone know if the B1G140 includes the LBM CMFs?  Hoping that TRU has a sale on these this coming week for easter if not, think in years past it was 2/$5 but I'd take anything at this point.
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
They just had the minifigs on sale for 3 for $9 last month
  • malachirobertsonmalachirobertson Member Posts: 268
I was wondering about the LBM CMFs too.  When I asked if they were part of the sale, I learned that they (and I think all CMFs) would be on sale next week for $2.99.  The man got his dates wrong at first and told me that they were on sale this week.  Then he realized his mistake, but had the cashier honor next week's price for me.
  • teal93mr2teal93mr2 Member Posts: 1,009
^that sounds promising.  Hope to be able to get in there and find the remaining ones I need!
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
So I scanned a LBM CMF today, and they do not show up as part of the 40% sale.
  • elspankdogelspankdog Member Posts: 403
Looks like TRU has pre-orders for Dimensions Hermione fun pack for $5.99 and The Goonies (Sloth) level pack for $14.99.  All the other fun/level/story packs are 50% off as well.

Returns to TRU are getting more difficult. My Cary, NC, store can only go back 90 days to find items you purchased using your Rewards Number, which is on the back of your TRU credit card if you have one. To go back longer requires a lot of searching, which they dislike. So save your receipts. Otherwise you will only get back the lowest sales price in the past 90 days or so, and it will just be a store credit, not returned to your credit card. They used to take back just about anything, but I guess that too many folks abused this policy. With Wal-Mart and Target tightening their return policies this year, it is important to buy only how much LEGO you think you will need unless you plan on parting out the sets you don't build.

Good find on the per-order deal, though I can't seem to get the free shipping to apply, even after adding over $30 in other items.

EDIT: It is now working now after meeting the threshold on in-stock items, not sure what the deal was.

  • YodaliciousYodalicious Member Posts: 1,366
^ Not typically. They only price match actual stated prices. Not BOGO or other type deals.
  • jmeninnojmeninno Member Posts: 1,175
50% off dimensions (online at least).  Must be trying to price match the GameStop sale.  Made my life easier as I was going to have them price match GameStops prices so I could get the TRU rewards!
