Thanks, price is as expected.  Hope I'll be able to buy some come the 25th.

Stopped in to TRU today for Cogsworth, and found a bunch of #5004406 First Order General on the shelf.  Got to the register and it rang up "No sale until 09/25".  I was lucky and the manager overrode the sale for me, but it does show when they are available.  Good luck and happy hunting!
Thank you for the heads up on these, will need to go over to my local TRUs and hunt for them this week.

Looks like this years Bricktober sets will be the TRU exclusive Minifigure Collection rather than mini modulars. 5004421 is available for $19.99 and it's listed as 1 of 4 Bricktober on the top edge of the box.

^--yeah there have been some sites listing this in the main news articles, as well as in other threads. I want those afro hair pieces, but not going to buy a hodgepodge of build a fig parts just for the one hair piece.. well not going to pay 20 bucks outright for that. Myabe if they go on sale or something happens to pop up that is a good deal where I can get that for free or something.

    @madforLEGO

Those black afros are probably at your nearest Lego Store BAM bar.  I was happy to see them at mine for the first time about a week ago.  Like the PAB wall, I believe most stores have much more standardized inventories for these then used to be the case.

Thanks for the note. I will need to call my local LEGO store to see if they have them in, as that may worth a run up to the store.

In spite of the First Order General being in this week's ad - FREE with Lego SW purchase of $30 or more - no one at the store had the slightest clue what I was asking about! And of course no sign of it on the usual polybag racks.

I like the idea of minifigs instead of mini modulars, but $5 a fig?  Do they even come with any accessories?

They'll be $10 in no time

There were no signs at the store I went to either but I asked the CS desk if they had them and they were there.

Really strange.  The store I went to is usually pretty good with having the signs up and they didn't this time.  I had to double check on the site to make sure the promo was going on this week.

Same trouble with the First Order General here at the Moline, IL store. They knew about it, but they didn't have the stock and didn't bother putting up the signage.

I found them on the floor on 2 different occasions, but they refused to sell them before the 25th.  Today, they had the signs up, but the person on the register had to go to the back to find them.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I was starting to think that now they had probably lost them.

I'll check the TRU that is down road the from TLS I plan to visit next Saturday. It's an old store with less traffic than the one I went to today.

    Same here.

Already have all the sets I want. Was going to get a couple of extra #75132 First Order Battle Packs but they had none. The few sets I do not have were marked up... so I guess I'll pass on this promo.
  • gmonkey76gmonkey76 Member Posts: 1,828
Found First Order General at Toysrus in Chicago. They were up at the service desk. No signs up in the aisle. They were $4.99 and you could probably buy them by themselves.
  • starwars4everstarwars4ever Member Posts: 489
Just got the First Order General! TRU manager didn't want to sell it to me, but just went to a different cashier who did! Got so lucky!
  • scotty12scotty12 Member Posts: 835

How longs does the free with $30 SW purchase run?  A week...two?  If I remember right the red armed C3PO ran a few weeks.  My nearest TRU is 60 miles away so I can't check.

  • MugenPowerMugenPower Member Posts: 633
Went to another TRU that also didn't have signs up.  Went to the CS desk and they said they didn't have any but to check back on Saturday, that they'd definitely have them in by then.  That's the last day of the promo!  According to the weekly ad, anyway...

I'm planning on picking the poly up on Thursday night with the AT-ST.
  • madforLEGOmadforLEGO Member Posts: 10,787
Definitely YMMV, based on my last experience getting a promo bag, I'm guessing many of the TRUs:
    A)Do not have them
    B) have them but at the CS counter
    c) have them at the CS counter but will not sell them due to the promo that is now ongoing.

TRU in Milford, CT had a box of those minifigure 4-packs behind the customer service counter. I did not ask if they were for sale yet, just spotted them while sorting through series 16 minifigures. Found the kickboxer to complete my set, so no more sore fingers until series 17 comes out.

Has there been any in store poly promo lately that you cant get later off the hook?  I'd just wait and buy it later if there wasn't anything for $30 I was interested in.
  • JooTogJooTog Member Posts: 945
Just came back from my local TRU. They have signs about the promo all over the LEGO area, but the polybags are at the CS counter.

Bought two at $4.99 ea., no $30 purchase necessary.

I've done this as well, but in my area it isn't always guaranteed it'll be around. Tons of C-3P0s popped up after the promo, but I never saw a single Hulk reappear.

I saw them in store today and $10 is still too much. They're labeled as musicians and yet they have no musical instruments.

Went back to one of the TRUs I went to on Sunday and they still didn't have the signs up for the F.O. General promo but they finally had them in stock at the CS desk.

IMO 10 dollars for 4 figures (albeit in BaM parts) would be a good price as they are 2.50 USD per piece. Typically a LEGO figure sells for about 3.33 via BaM at a LEGO store. Are they great? No, but if someone wants to get four figures (which can be made to look different by swapping parts with one another) it is fairly cost effective, even without an accessory.

Looks like each set has one accessory: microphone, sword, tennis racket and magnifying glass. The civil war soldier in 2 looks interesting and pushes Lego's "no war toys" policy a bit. Is that a football player in week 3?
  • prevereprevere Member Posts: 2,923
Frankly, I'd be happier with a giant pile of new 1x1 plates instead of those figs.

If they sell them without the $50 then maybe but $10? really?
  • MugenPowerMugenPower Member Posts: 633
The only good thing about this year's Bricktober sets for me is I don't have to find the stores that have all of them and are willing to sell them to me on their own, i.e. not interested.

TRU wants you. Problem is, if I worked there, I'd be sending people to amazon or bricklink.

TRU has 20% off City, Creator and a few others.  Factor this in with the Bricktober promo and its not a bad deal.

Lego Dimensions - all $11.99 fun packs are 3 for $25.00, including the pre-order E.T. & Fantastic Beasts sets.

Also, all Lego books are 25% off.

The 20% off sets are Speed Champions, Elves, Ninjago & Minecraft.

The second Bricktober minifigure set is the warriors. I believe I will pass on this since I spent too much on Lego last week.

I did not receive a copy of the print ad in these week's Sunday paper (actually my Dad is the one getting a paper so I look at the ads & coupons),  but for the first time in monsters was an ad last week.

was just at TRU and lego dimensions don't count towards the bricktober minifigure set.. ar well
  • madejp86madejp86 Member Posts: 287
All Speed Champions are on sale and count towards the bricktober
