About "My Menu"

TarDomoTarDomo FinlandMember Posts: 515
When I click My Menu and then Your Reviews the site doesn´t show my reviews. Instead, it throws me to a page where I can choose one of all sets and get information about it. If you don´t click the buttom My Menu and choose Reviews, it works normally. It´s not a big problem to me but some new user may not understand it. All the other buttons work normally.

Anyone else noticed this little thing?

    What's the URL of the page it takes you to? It should be http://brickset.com/reviews/author-TarDomo (assuming that's your login there) but it seems that (if it is your login) you've written no reviews and under that circumstance it seems to be behaving a little weirdly, which I'll look into.

    What is your username there?

    I'm Tar-Domo there.

    I get the same error - the username is not appended to the link, it is just http://brickset.com/reviews/author- . Adding it by hand works fine.

    Mine works, from My Menu > Reviews. I haven't written many reviews, but I see them there. (my url is the full http://brickset.com/reviews/author-Plasmodium)

    This is what I see when I log in as you: note the URL in the status bar at the bottom.

    Is it a browser thing? Because Huw is using IE (if I'm not mistaken) and I'm using Chrome. You two aren't using Firefox, are you?
    Or maybe an extension, like an ad blocker or a pop-up blocker or something?

    @plasmodium‌ I´m normally using IE.
    @Huw‌ It works with that URL. I get it working also when I just click it from that box. If I click first the whole My Menu box, it won´t work unless I write that URL. It´s not such a problem, anyway.

    ^^ Shouldn't be given the name is appended in the server-side code. I was using Chrome for that screenshot.

    Oh well. I was just throwing science at the wall to see what sticks. :-)
    Is that Chrome on Windows 8? Because I said IE because I looked at the status bar and thought "that doesn't look like Chrome!".
