I really like the hinging of the sides and dual front, makes it a very playable setting. Plus I like the look accomplished with tile method for the roofs.

Just beautiful! Unfortunately LEGO is never going to approve such a large set. The price must be astronomical! If you would take that into consideration and make the set affordable I think there would be some chance. But it is definitely a nice MOC!

They did release the Taj Mahal (over 5000 bricks) and it was a major sellout product. But the set can be easily downsized or turned into modular very easily. of course it wouldn't be the same but it would be nice to have a lego zorro set.

    Wonderful MOC!

Are those roof tiles made with regular 2X1 tiles or the gold bullion bars? I would love to see the bullion gold bar in burgundy red, that element is might be good for roof tiles. Though the round 1X1 bricks as used in the Palace Cinema also do the trick.

I don't want to be another party pooper, but I think @akunthita is right about TLG probably not approving your MOC, because of its enormous size and consequently the skyhigh price tag it would have if taken in production.

How many bricks did you use to make this in Lego DD?

I just supported your Lothlorien Swan Ship, because I will definitely buy that if you get the needed support and TLG takes it into production.

Your Zorro project is also really impressive, a beautiful MOC. Maybe I will support it too. Though in all fairness I have not decided, because in all honesty I believe I should only support ideas when I really would want to buy them as a set. I would not be surprised if this MOC turns out to be as expensive as the Death Star, if and when it get made into a set.

None the less I wish you all the best, and hope you will acquire 10000 votes on this and many of your other great project on Lego Ideas!

That was their set (not a fan designed set), and they haven't repeated it.

The Lone Ranger didn't seem to do very well, and this is pretty much the same genre.

PS there is an existing Lego IDEAS thread here:

    http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/14849/lego-ideas/p1

And there is also the MOCs thread.

Maybe there should be a rule on brickset that you should not keep starting new threads solely to promote your own IDEAS projects, like there is on eurobricks - where you were asked to stop posting new threads asking for support for your own projects, and instead to post them as MOCs, and have only a single small link to the ideas project. That is, having the MOC as the subject and not the begging for support as the main thrust of the post.

Or if not, have an IDEAS sub-forum where anyone that submits something to IDEAS can also post it there, and others can just turn off the entire section when it becomes a duplicate of the lego IDEAS site.

I see ideas as a site where if I see something I like I support. The thing is that people say it won't pass and this and that because of number of bricks and etc... The thing is we'll never know if we don't get to 10000 supporters. Hence by not supporting you're dead on denying the chance (however slim it may be) to be reviewed and checked for viable business case - and that is why thay ask what price you'd tag the set and how many you'd buy. I wouldn't assume to not support something I really like regardlessof purchase intention if ownership intentions exists. Then there's the price factor and that might influence if you buy or not (but you'd like to have it if it were cheap or free nonetheless). That's something for LEGO to decide and they consider such point of views. Summing up I believe if one likes, it should definately support. At the end of the 10k count we'd see if the given price made it viable or not for any to buy.

    Cheers

I've seen dozens of MOCs on Ideas that I think are really cool. About 95% of them I won't bother supporting because they are completely infeasible as a production release

I made this very request a week or so ago. I really think we need so e moderator direction on this subject

^ Yes, I agree. Otherwise I expect to see more people joining fore the sole reason of promoting their ideas submissions and nothing else. Even if they are allowed a single thread per ideas project, it wouldn't be so bad if they are all placed in a separate IDEAS section that people could turn off.
