We have unearthed our children's set and would like to get it in working order for our grandchildren. We have installed a new battery, but the motor will only run sometimes and then only for a short time. Any advice on how to solve this problem or where we could go to have it serviced? Thanks!

Without seeing it, check the battery box to make sure you have good contact on both poles and check the wire to the motor as they are prone to cracking. I have also seen the plastic/metal connection parts crack. You can get replacement wires from a site called Bricklink. The motor shouldn't be the problem, I have never seen one go bad but if it is ( which I doubt ) they are un-serviceable and would have to be replaced, also on the Bricklink site.
