Kid gifts - #10570 (and #30321)
Wedding present - #40165
Self - #41107 (for Pop Star collection), #850618 Fire Accessory Set and #60077 (great deal for 4 minifigures and assorted parts), #70331 (to get started with Nexo Knights), #30422
Luckily, Amazon showed it in stock for MSRP, so I just tried that route. No double VIP points though, sigh. Now I just hope that Amazon does a better job of keeping their order system and their warehouse in sync than TLG apparently does!
I still have 2 more orders coming. And what am I supposed to do with all the Ninjago guys?
Then got #10211 on Brick Classifieds.
Found out about the TRU Batmobile promo and got #75136 and #75127.
I was not interested in the City theme, but got into trains earlier this year. That drove my attention to some of the vehicles and ended up buying #$60118 and #60119 on last week's TRU 20% sale and ATV Patrol promo.
20 minutes ago ordered #60026 on eBay.
*sigh* Cup Noodles dinner the past few days and probably for many days to come.
i have placed a order for the following items.
#10220 : Volkswagen T1 Camper Van
#10242 : MINI Cooper
#10243 : Parisian Restaurant
#75087 : Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter™
there was, as there always is with me. a last minute change of plan's.
i lost a little interest in #70732 : City of Stiix. and that has been pushed back. if interest comes back it may come forward again, if not who knows if i will ever get it.
also decided to save time and spend some of my VIP points i have now.
as i spent the Same level of Cash as i would have spent with or with out the use of VIP points, i not losing any points i would have got.
as i only had about £263 to spend today. the outright max points i could have got was 526 points. no if's, no but's, no maybe's, that was it. that what i had to work with,
so the only way i was going to be getting #10243: Parisian Restaurant today was with VIP Points to help. no if's, no but's, no maybe's.
and to me the VW Camper Van and Mini Cooper was a package deal. i could not get one with out the other.
and with the age of the VW, it was right at the top of my to buy list.
i toyed with that list for hours today trying to work out the best set's to get. Vs what set's i wish to have, Vs what are the odd's of that set being around later, Vs what are the odd's of a retailer selling that set at a lower price, Vs Do retailers have that set on there webpage to be sold at this time.
Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter in the uk is only sold by Argos. and the best deal i know Argos do is the 3 for 2 offer. (and the next time that offer is plan for is unknown.)
and even if it did start in 2 weeks time, Argos don't have 3 sets at £39.99 i wish to have so getting it from lego is just a better deal.
the VW is just to old to toy with, about "can i find it for less."
as i said the mini is a auto buy for me with the VW. to own one with out the other is as bad a bad can be.
Parisian Restaurant is only sold online at RRP by Lego at this time.
even so. i flipped back and forth on Parisian Restaurant for well over 30 minutes.
Oh and 1 more dam Chicken Suit Guy to add to my growing stock of them. (i own 3 right now) this will make 4.
what the dam in hell am i going to do with 4 of them?
i not found a use for 1 of him, let alone FOUR!
I've got a Joust. In fact I had a second one at some point with grand ideas to combine it as the box suggests, but I needed to sell it to finance other sets.
It really is a fantastic model, isn't it? By far the "scariest" Castle set I've seen.
@oldtodd33 It went well, thanks. Amazon delivered it as promised! So even though I didn't get the VIP points, I'm happy that I didn't miss it at MSRP and have to agonize over whether or not to pay the reseller premium! :-)
The jewel in the crown though was a boxless, but complete (long story) #75059 for 10% off (due to the no box situation) and the obligatory double VIP points as well. As I don't keep boxes due to space constraints, am chuffed to bits with this.
Then realised that none of this matters and no one will care, but thought I should post it anyway.
To summarise, I should probably write a blog, rather than treating this forum as my mental dumping ground...
and
#10243 box is smaller then i would have guessed it to be.
i image it as the same Size as #10218 and #10232.
is it deeper? no looking at it looks the same depth as the other 2.
can not see how deep #75060 is.
and it's not like i keep the box's and never bin them or that i still have box's from 1998.
oh wait. no i do keep the box's, and have Box's from 1998.
(I am a Lego packaging enthusiast.)
not even i am daft enough to try and buy 15 of them let alone 15 of each.
come off it man that would be £3,600. i don't have that type of cash.
if i did i not be buying 15 of the same model. i be buying over half of the Lego set's sold on [email protected] starting with the highest costing and going down till i ran out of cash.
saying that. just think of the Size of a 15 x Palace Cinemas MOC! :)
