It's my Lego Ideas project, featuring Coulson, May, Ward & Stan Lee (as S.H.I.E.L.D Agent Lee).
Gotta love the S@H team.
Few days ago UCS X-wing was backordered until October 28th.
Midday today: Temporarily sold out
Four Hours Later: Available Now
As always, nice job S@H!
Otherwise, I'm also working on putting together a BrickLink order for parts to make #924 and #926, to add a couple of remaining sets to my pre-1982 Classic Space collection. Just #6842, #6861, #6870 and #6901 to go after that! :-)
bought the ninja dbx for 50€. a nearby shop may have final flight of destiny bounty for 80, so I'll probably get that as well.
First set for me of the new TFA wave. Funny thing is that it was not even on sale !
A smaller Ninjago set I'd happily recommend to anybody developing an interest in that line is #70734 Master Wu Dragon. It's actually designed by a fellow AFOL (Brickthing), and his characteristic taste for NPU really shines through in the design even though he's limited to sturdy, "legal" building techniques. Even simpler parts of the build like the tea farm gate or the stupa use surprising building techniques. It's also got a lot of great humor like the crossbow-toting dog, the haunted food kiosk, and the dragon carrying a complete tea set. XD
I agree with that, Master Wu Dragon is a great medium-sized set and I also like the Titanium Dragon a lot.
Another set that I like a is Enter The Serpent, which is just such a nice "jungle temple"-type set. I like the serpent's head sculpture, the hidden firing missiles, which is a clever little mechanism, and just the overall style. The tan and purple colour scheme just looks good.
Separately, wow, there are some impressive things on Brickthing's Flicr page.
I've been puting these off for ages and I fear they may retire soon:
#76023 Tumbler (but I don't like only building in black - the Tower of Orthanc wasn't a lot of fun!)
#70810 Metalbeards Sea Cow (has many pieces, looks great ...)
or maybe I'll grab #70751, even though it shouldn't be going anywhere near retirement soon.
The other options would be the Ferrari, Mini Cooper, the Mixer or the Ferris Wheel as I've got most of the exclusives & modulars already.
Or I could just buy a couple of smaller sets and save up for a post retirement set .... Damn decisions!
While I love the books (including the additional lore ones) and the films, I have only recently come out of my DA and so missed most of the LOTR and TH sets, but I'm very glad that I have got this one.
I think that it and #79000 will have to be my limit, as I simply can't start collecting another theme!
By the way has anybody heard of dates or confirmation on the ginger bread house in the UK?
Now I just need all of the other series 14!!!!!! :o)
Oh and on topic, just picked up #79520 with 20% off.
edit: that's Raptor Escape for anyone without an encylcopaedic knowledge of set numbers (me)
"What are you buying right now ?"
I was going to post to this thread, but I thought it rude to get my phone out while the cashier is in the middle of taking my payment! :)
