Grabbed #76905 Ford Bronco & GT40 for my son off of Walmart.com today. He has decided 8-wide speed champions is his favorite theme so glad I was able to find this one still below rrp. It is already $60+ range for new on Bricklink so $42 was not a bad deal.

After a long drought, I finally have a lead on a nice collection locally.  If it comes true, I'll post more info.

Good for her.  She likely got educated of the value and sold them for more than what you were willing to give.  Nice to see someone not being taken advantage of.

Nice try. I was on deck to pay asking price, but she sold to someone else firat, after we agreed I would pick them up. Other dude paid asking price. I’m not salty about the transaction, but I will not be called a swindler.
Sorry, but people prey upon those who don't know the true value of what they are selling.  There's nothing wrong with that, but I'm calling out what it truly is.  I did not call you a swindler, but more of an opportunist.  Again, nothing wrong about that but the brag thread usually involves someone purchasing something of greater value due to the seller not knowing the value of what they are selling.  I don't take sides, but I call out the opportunists when I see it.  Good luck!!

My good sir, we are not even in the brag thread.
However, that's where you wanted to go. Lol!!!

I have been sitting on an unopened The Office that was a gift (already have one), so I finally exchanged it for some vroom vrooms.

It’s funny, I’m not a car guy at all, but Speed Champions use the most ingenious building techniques to pack so much detail into a small space.

I have has some success pointing out some of the high value sets in the lot and offering way above asking price to gain trust.

HUB Hobby in Richfield, MN has new Star Wars sets. #75348 is $99.99, #75346 is $37.99. I'm not certain what the Endor and Throne room dioramas were priced at, I think Endor was $81.99.
    I bought #75348 today.
I might go back tomorrow for #75346; I think I now have enough Rewards points for a $5 discount.

Oh, and Lego.com still says that #75348 doesn't exist. Are they planning to wait until May 4th to reveal it?

#75346, from HUB Hobby. Should I build it tonight or take it to the park for a Picnic Table Build?
  • bpk2300bpk2300 Member Posts: 249
Bought #75333 from Target since it was on sale for $24, plus I had a $10 gift card, plus my 5% Red card discount.

Heck, that Trans Neon Green piece with the M-Tron logo might be worth five bucks by itself! Nice score!

I picked up the @75323 Justifier at Target, having them price-match Barnes and Noble's 20% off price of $135.99, less another 5% red card discount and a couple of $10 GCs from a previous promotion to use. I would have gone with the 5x VIP points offer next week if it were being offered online.

The canopy looks to be on great condition with minimal playwear. Nice find for sure

There is surprisingly little playwear on most of these parts.  The transparent parts are especially clean, even large ones like windows. Even the large panel from #6884 looks really good for its age.

That was one of the first sets I ever bought with my own money. The trans neon green parts really stood out to 8 year old me.

It's great to see yours looking like new.

Shifting gears (literally), we have #6551 Checkered Flag 500 from 1992, one of the newest sets in this pile.

First order with LEGO for a long time, had to add the keychain (didn't take a lot of persuading to be fair) as the discount voucher on #75338 Ambush on Ferrix took it below £130 and removed the mini Death Star from the order.

Well, I didn't anticipate actually making a purchase this weekend. However, I had a little bonus come through at work. I managed to get the 2023 SW Helmets, Brickheadz, and all three SW promos, in addition to the Spring VIP pack. Plus double VIP points to top it off.

    Pretty excited!

I ordered the two new Starwars dioramas last night and then went to the LEGO store this morning and stood in line to get the super star destroyer model since it was out of stock online.

Purchased a train lot on ebay that was listed as #7938 Passenger Train, but I saw #10259 Winter Village Station lurking in the shadows. It also contained #60050 Train Station and some extra track and train parts.
If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious what you snagged this for.  I'm always on the lookout for this kind of find (outside of eBay).  Rarely find anything like it and when I do, it's usually not cheap.

    Nice haul.

I'll just say it was a fair price considering what I received.  I was disappointed the passenger train was a steaming pile, but I feel the extra Power Functions parts and train wheels/tracks made up for it.

I WAS going to buy AND build #75335 today.  But... apparently other people had the same idea I had and bought what the local Target had.  (It was there last night but I just HAD to wait, ugh!) So, I ordered one from Target.  Had enough Circle rewards so it was free.  Should be here Saturday.

I bought... way too many Star Wars sets to take advantage of the double points and 4x GWPs.  And one of the orders has already arrived, only 3 days later and halfway through the promotion.  Definitely feeling the same as @sweetness34 about the fast turnaround time for these orders.

Also got my SSD pre-order yesterday, so that was another nice May the 4th bonus I was not expecting!

Well, my Star Wars order arrived. All three helmet boxes, the Brickheadz box, and Coin box look great. Unfortunately, my Death Star II box was absolutely crunched! Ideally, I'd like to build this one and not worry about holding onto it for some future sale/trade. But still...

A quick chat with CS confirmed no additional boxes they could ship out. So, VIP points were the solution. I felt they maybe could have offered a little more, but I won't be too picky as I've benefited from very generous VIP gifts before.

All in all, super happy with my purchase and keeping current with the helmets. I can't wait to start building them!

Ditto waiting on new GWP'S & double VIP points.   Hoping for a Harry Potter GWP sometime in the next few months so I can start buying what I want of this year's HP releases.  Also waiting on the rumored Pirate set & the Ideas Viking Village.  May grab the Lighthouse during 2x VIP points.

@pxchris I've been wondering what theme you'd get into next. Great choice! Dark Dragon's Den us one of my favorite Castle sets- I love the alliterative names they used to use.
I got my #71792, plus 40647 Lotus Flowers and 3 BAM- all with the "armored" unicorn heads, and pretty random other parts. There was a dearth of poseable minifig legs- a fair amount of short legs, lots of dress pieces, amist no regular legs.

    To the park!!!

  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 4,266
The nice thing about these unicorn heads is you can't put a hat/helmet/hair piece on them... so you can give each two accessories!
I suppose the store could say "you've got a head, you need a hat/helmet/hair piece..."

Seeing those new unicorn molds/prints, in addition to all the teal, purple, orange and flashy colors in recent sets makes me wonder what other marvels we could have gotten in Vidiyo had it lasted longer...  It's almost clear to me that they're just redistributing resources (be it mold or colored plastics).
