Here's hoping they arrive whilst my wife is out so I can build them and slip them onto the shelves before she notices :D
My wife notices the money leaving the account, before she notices the sets on display.

Oh no chance of that here mate - I order it on the credit card and clear the bill every month. She doesn't see my credit card bil land I don't see hers, we just see the direct debits coming out of the account and the end of the month and think nothing of it.

She will notice the sets eventually, but she will walk past them for a few weeks before I get it in the neck, as long as the postie times it right ;)

So is there any confirmation of the release dates of the summer sets in North America? Says June 1, but the Lego store says Aug 1. Seems strange they would stagger them so far apart from the European release, but who knows.
  • iwybsiwybs Member Posts: 391
A June/August staggered release for the summer sets is the usual schedule, it's been that way for at least the past several years.

The double GWP (and ones I actually like) was too good to pass up. Placed my first non-B&P LEGO.com order since January this morning.

I went way overboard with the GF's bday present being the City of Lanterns to get her 2 bonus GWPs, then course I wanted the GWPs too so I grabbed the T-Rex breakout, a snowtrooper battle pack, the Rebel Hoth battle pack, and some baseplates.

So I kind of got rumbled when my brick built Dewback arrived yesterday right after I went to work and my wife had to sign for it haha. But anyway I've made a few other purchases of retired Lego Star Wars sets that are yet to arrive.

#75198 Tatooine Battle Pack for some more Jawas to populate the Sandcrawler. The Tusken Raider would have made more sense in the Luke's Landspeeder set but in either case it's nice to have.

#75259 Snowspeeder to finish off my Hoth vehicles as the AT-AT isn't going to cripple itself willingly!

#75265 for the brick built Bantha and Tusken Raider. I don't care much for the T-16 Skyhopper even if Luke did play with a model in a new hope.

I think the only things I'm missing for Tatooine are the Skiff and Jabbas Barge, but given the price of the latter, I think I'll pass until a new release comes about.

I'm trying to decide if I want to try to cobble together another order just to get a second set of the GWP's.  Bought the Home Alone house with a $100 voucher to ease the cost.  With the new Harry Potter stuff coming next month I'm hoping they offer a decent GWP when the sets release so I don’t know if I really want to spend another $160 right now.  I'm also expecting to drop a decent amount in the Disney Springs Lego store when I'm there next month if they have decent stuff in their PAB wall & BAM tower.

We recently bought something interesting... has anyone else tried Trix Bricks out of Europe? They make a cool solution for curved track. We did a video about it if you are curious:

Also just bought Starry Night as a gift for my artist wife and this just after a triple purchase of the Creator 3-in-1 Castle to build the large MOC last week. Looks like double-double GWPs.

In one of those very rare (for me) day one purchases I grabbed the Starry Night (also for my wife) and snagged both of the GWPs. Hopefully I'll get them as I did get both of them a little over a week ago as well.
I also plan on getting Optimus Prime in a week, but I don't know that there will be any active GWPs at that time. Been a spendy few weeks of LEGO buying.

Stopped by local LEGO store to pick up a few sets to get both of the GWPs.  I rarely buy parts from the PAB wall but saw they had finger leafs #42949. I decided to purchase a large cup and managed to fit 100 of the finger leafs along with 1x1 round tiles.  I was amazed on how much I was able to fit into the cup with the lid fully closed.

I went to two stores today.  Wish I had been lucky enough to find some of those Finger Leafs.  I did get a bunch of the long Arch pieces in Dk Gray, some Window 1x4x1 2/3 with Spoked Rounded Top in Black, Some of the new Trans Blue Door 1x3x6, Some Dark Azure window frames, a bunch of 2x2 window panes, some trans cockpit 2x5x2 with shaft, the white cash register slope & a bunch of other random parts, 4 Large cups between the two stores.  Also picked up Hogwarts First Flying Lesson, a few dented box sets (Lunar New Year Traditions & The Keeper's Village) and a few other things.  Spent enough in one store to get the 2 GWP's and was able to do the "Build a Rose" in both stores.  No luck finding any of the spring/Easter Minifigs other than one Magenta Bear Head and I think the Legs for the Chicken.  And definitely none of the newest parts for the new Knight or any of the reported other new figures.

So I took the wife shopping, sent her to look at shoes while I looked at Lego, and came home with this little chap today.
I had liked the look of #31124 since the reveal but I never got around to picking him up in March. As with the other Creator 3 in 1 sets, I'm not as keen on the alternative models, but one of the biggest draws here is that it was one of the cheapest ways to get the yellow 2x1 jumper I wanted to #75218 ify my #75301 X-Wing to have a fire extenguisher. I could have used another colour, but this fella came with 8, and he can live without one of them hehehehe.

I'm also really looking forwards to putting in an order for #31132 Viking Ship on day one. I'm not as keen on the price of that one as the value proposition seems to have gone down a tad, but it would look cool next to #31120 Medieval Castle and #31109 Pirate ship.Last but not least I've been throwing a few offers and bids around on more retired sets and we shall see what comes of it :)

Are you doing a moc cannabis farm?  :)
Interesting idea.  Since I have 100 of the leafs, I now need 320 more for a total of 420.

I've just ordered Lego Classic #11014 Bricks and Wheels from Amazon. It looks like a cool set in it's own right, but I really wanted 1x Red Round 1x1 Brick to make a fire extinguisher for #75301, and the other bricks will come in handy.

It was already 20% off RRP for £35.99, but I was given a £20 amazon gift card, so that brought it down to £15.99, and then I applied the 7OFFPICKUP coupon to have it delivered to my local post office, bringing the total to £8.99.

Still, a lot more expensive than pick a brick, and with more bricks I may not want or use, but I also have a bit more flexibility and variety and can try out the set before parting it out. Win-win :)

I'm at Scheels in Eden Prairie, not finding #75325. But new polybags: #30435, #30590, #30584, #30510. Plus six boxes of Muppets CMFs, picked through, but I think I found the last four I needed. Plus many, many Series 22 CMFs.

So I left the car at home and took the bus into Cardiff, got to the Lego store and #31132 Viking Ship with Midguard Serpent was out of stock. Not sold out, but not delivered to the Lego store for the launch. Doh!

I was also eyeing up the Optimus Prime and while it does look nice on display, I can get a much better Hasbro / Takara masterpiece model for the same kind of money so I decided not to bother.

I could just order it online but I'll revisit #31132 when the new 90 years of play Forest men GWP set or double points comes around later this month instead.

Kids are off school for half term so I offered to take them to buy new shoes which the wife was more than happy to let me do. Instead of heading to the nearest shoe shops though I drove up to Meadowhall, picked up #10302 Optimus Prime and my son chose some generic Ninjago set. Was pleasantly surprised to be given #40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures as I thought the promotion had ended. Could've easily bought more sets but had to get the kids and their new shoes home before the wife got too suspicious at the house being quiet!

#21333 Starry Night was birthday present to self, #76831 because I needed to get over the GWP threshold and fancy displaying Zurg mech alongside Construct-a-Zurg (!) plus GWPs #40529 & #40533.

Popped into Sainsburys near the job I was at to grab a drink and ended up with #76194 from What if...? Weirdly from an episode that's yet to air and judging by the big discount ( got it for £20) it's on its way out before the show makes it to Disney+

Thanks, @560Heliport.  Got some of the new polybags at my local Scheels today.  Took my list of Chocolate Frog Cards so I could try to even out completing a third set when I chose some of the Hogwarts poly.  No Muppets CMF's found there though but there were many, many boxes of series 22 everywhere.  Also hit up Walgreens to get the City Tractor #60287 for $3.99 as reported elsewhere.  Now to patiently await the upcoming Harry Potter releases & the Forest Hideout GWP in a couple of weeks.
