My last two BnP orders came about 18 days after I submitted the order. I had to submit another order when I got my Santa's Visit after missing parts on my original order. So, I still can't quite check off all my projects as "ready to build" until the final one gets here.

I also realized with my PaB order that I put 4 parts in White in my cart, but needed LBG. SO........................

Just got #43105 Party Llama BeatBox delivered from a seller who had some Vidiyo sets imported. That's my L.L.A.M.A merch sorted. Was strongly considering #43111 Candy Castle Stage but ultimately passed on it.
Also, tried my hand submitting a request through B&P Broken Bricks for a new #60150 sticker sheet (apparently that set and other sets from its period are notorious for peeling stickers), as well as copies of the affected bricks. Went straight to social media with the order number knowing it'd get rejected by the system again, and they took care of it for me. Got here in 2 weeks. Interestingly, unlike my previous B&P orders, this one came from Germany, not Denmark.
I'll be holding off on any more LEGO purchases until Black Friday and/or Christmas, at which point I'm going to see if I end up getting #71369 Bowser's Castle Boss Battle. It'd have to be a really, really good deal though... but I don't want to miss out on the buildable Bowser either.

Took a trip to Leicester Square this morning. Picked up some things for other members and got a few things for myself. All around a good trip.

At the Mall of America store: #71755 Temple of the Endless Sea (and #30370 Ocean Diver GWP), #60297 Demolition Stunt Bike, a large PAB cup, and the last #40499 Santa's Sleigh. Or the last one they had out at the time. There were also about eight #40426 Christmas Wreath 2-in-1.

Got a Fire Brigade from a Bricklink seller. Arrived this afternoon. I have a large queue, but this one might jump to the front. Can't have my modular city burn down in its cabinet!

Had to be up early for work on Friday so made the most of it and ordered Santas sleigh set, I'm never going to have a massive WV setup, but we like to run the WV train around the bottom of the tree and have a couple of sets to go with it. This will make a nice addition. Also chucked the Friends advent calendar in the basket for Little Miss Speedy, so we're a three LEGO advent family now!

Hit up the store for #40499, also got myself a Teal Brick gal, 2 Mariachi and some other figs, plus the Minions poly.
Plenty of new sets on display, but this being the weekend, there were tons of people, so I just got what I came for and got out. Also seen Series 2 Bandmates for sale.

I submitted my order for the Sleigh and Mini Disney Castle at midnight on the release day and they still haven't shipped. I know there are notices that shipping will take longer, but it did say shipping would happen the next business day. Seeing as it was after midnight on the morning of the 1st, I anticipated it shipping by yesterday?

Anyone else order at midnight and already have their shipment go out? I feel like my luck with S@H the last several months has been really terrible.

I know it's the other side of the Atlantic but here in Ireland I made an order on the 1st of October too and my delivery arrived this morning. It's actually the fastest I've ever had something arrive from Lego.

After an hour long conversation with CS trying to figure things out, they determined that, due to the massive amount of October 1st orders, there is a shipping delay at least in the US warehouse. They couldn't give an exact ETA on when it would go out, but confirmed it's packed and waiting for pickup. I guess FedEx has limited the amount of daily pickups they will accept, so that is impacting it as well.

Fingers crossed it goes out soon.

A bunch of large online retail businesses have had their pickups curtailed in 2020-2021 because of the huge increase in online sales and various staffing and covid-related limitations. They are often given the option to keep the same pickup volume, but it comes at a higher cost on all of their shipments. Lego has clearly decided it is not worth the extra cost to deal with the surge days like October 1. They'll just spread those shipments out over a week or more.

About 8 hours after my conversation with CS, I got an email from LEGO that said my order is in line to be pulled but, due to high order counts, it would still take a while to be shipped out.

I guess some people's orders were just luckier than mine...

I've not been interested in the Vidiyo sets at all. The figures are really nice and all but I wasn't to keen on the whole aesthetic of the sets and the prices were off the charts so they all pretty much dropped off my radar.

Saying that, whilst shopping in Tesco today, found this little nugget sat on a shelf and couldn't believe what the price label said.
Will be my one and only Vidiyo purchase but it's a lovely looking minifigure for that price.

And there was me thinking I got a fairly good deal at my local Tesco's at 4.50 for the Vidiyo beatboxes. At 2.25 its worth buying them all, just for the printed tiles alone!

Went to Atlanta Brick Company with a large pile of NISB sets I’ve accumulated over the years. Got enough store credit to cover nearly all of the following:

a used but complete Green Grocer

my first ever LOTR and Hobbit sets #79005 and #79000

    #6054 Forestmen’s Hideout
    and
    #6259 Broadside Brig

They had a #6071 Forestmen’s Crossing that was _really_ tempting, but I decided to go with the 4 smaller sets instead it it—I don’t think it was quite $ for $, but if I did that one, I was just getting it and Green Grocer.

@autolycus good choices!  The hideout is still one of my favorites, so much so that I keep it on display permanently… (Here is an old pic)

With the Green Grocer in hand as well, it looks like you have some fun building sessions coming up!

@KungFuKenny yeah, I wasn’t sure what direction I was going to go with how much credit I was expecting. I’m really really happy with my 2 little bits of nostalgia, with filling the giant ring-sized hole in my heart from missing the entire Tolkien theme during my dark age, and with landing GG. The castle and pirate sets were the hardest to choose from, but as soon as I saw the Forestmen, I knew I had to get at least something with those beautiful, beautiful hats. Heheh.

Even just the basic cart sets or rowboats bring such joy for those of us who grew up in the right era! My older brother has all of our sets from childhood and even some of my early SW sets, and I haven’t seen any of them in years—he’s not keeping them from me, I just don’t get to spend much time at his place.

On building… I’m halfway done with Fire Brigade and plan to finish it tomorrow. Gotta figure out how I’m going to arrange my modulars now that I’ve got Green Grocer to build also. My cabinet has enough space for 12 modulars (3 shelves with enough width for 4 each). Assembly Square is a nuisance in this situation—a lovely nuisance—but my solution there is to put it on the same shelf as Old Fishing Store, which has some boats off the dock, taking up that awkward 16x32 space. Now I just need to find a “reasonably” priced Town Hall and Cafe Corner… maybe next year.

I just ordered this after seeing that I could get it for 38% off, much better than my 30% goal. Comes with a #30389 GWP, which I don't really need considering I'll be getting #71389 eventually. I wish it wasn't a Fuzzy in this polybag.

I believe I'll be headed to the Lego Store tonight with my kids. It's not intended to be a "buying things" trip. BUT...x2 VIP points may change that really quick.

I'm debating buying a second Santa's Sleigh set. I likely just need to buy parts to extend out to an 8 reindeer team as I have 4 other roaming reindeer that need to fall into line. BnP is likely the more fiscally responsible route.

Fingers crossed for a killed PAB wall!

Well, the "not buying things" mantra didn't last too long. Each of the three kids ended up with something small. A keychain for my oldest, a Stephanie Cube for my middle, and one of the Dots cube tags for my youngest.

I looked the PAB wall over and initially didn't see much worth grabbing, even to fill a small cup. But then saw 6x8 white plates and knew my WV could use some more snow. I just did a small cup still and packed around it with some odds and ends. 1x3 Dark Green plates was my main stuffing material.

If it was just me, I would have likely filled a large cup or two with those 6x8 plates. Probably for the better I had the kids to keep me moving.

My October 1st order of the Sleigh and Mini-Disney Castle arrived today. In the grand scheme, I guess 2 weeks isn't that bad of a deal. And, considering nearly a week of that was a delay with LEGO getting it shipped, I guess FedEx actually didn't do too bad in this case.

The same can't be said about my other backordered set that has been stuck in FedEx purgatory for the last 10 days...
  • WesterBricksWesterBricks Member Posts: 956
    I’m playing the waiting game…

    A) a bulk lot through eBay that appears to have most of #6395 Victory Lap Raceway
    2) a couple of BL orders to complete #7900 Heavy Loader, including three absurdly expensive girders.
    D) a few other BL orders to complete an original #5541 Blue Fury

I might need to stop in my local brand store and buy something random just to scratch the itch while I wait for the rest.

Pardon my photography, I'm camping in a state park. I stopped at the Mall of America store on my way out of the Twin Cities yesterday- double VIP points! All four Marvel "Eternals" sets, #31121 3-in-1 Crocodile, and a PAB cup. BAM had the teal brick suit guy. I didn't see any Mariachi- but I was in a hurry to get going (250mi/400km drive).

Buying a little of new Minecraft sets for my nephew (16) who still likes to do some lego.  I was going to wait to get some HP sets til the GWP and poly bag started towards end of month but now that’s off for US so have to rethink.

Have to be near a lego store Monday and will stop in if at all possible.  Hope the PAB and BAM  have some good things.

Wow they really stepped up the MoA PaB wall. I remember going in there & seeing basic bricks & wheels. I got so fed up with the dull selection every time we went, I discussed it with an employee there & was pleasantly surprised to find an email from him thanking me for my concern & input.

Oh BTW I'm 6'4" & can reach into the lowest row of the fake bins up top 😄😄 It's just cardboard inserts of bricks to make them seem full.

I agree… it’s has been years since we had foliage pieces at the PAB wall here…those yellow support pieces would come in handy as well…

@gelkster if you look closely, the upper bins do have 2x4 bricks in them- the cardboard inserts are just at the front lip of the bins.

Thanks to a tip off I heard that my local LEGO Store had some of the new BAM parts in as well as new pieces on the PAB wall. So I headed up there on Sunday morning to take advantage of the double VIP points. Unfortunately, they had sold out of all of the yellow leaf pieces and clear panels on Saturday, so I missed out on those. However, I was able to get the BAM figures I wanted (teal brick suit, skeleton costume, some of the mariachi figure parts, pigs, etc.) and did fill up a large PAB cup with other parts. Also picked up #40478. All-around good trip to the store!

Allsorts. Got the Marvel Advent calendar, Marvel CMF and Porsche 911 for my birthday (they were bought previously, but I didn't 'get them' until now) and used up all my VIP point when there was a little bonus and now a Medieval Castle, little Disney Castle and a Mandalorian Forge are on their way.

Oh, and for some reason a kid's all-colours flying car build - whatever.
