    Right now I’m attempting to buy all of the Lego Dimensions stuff and as a result I’m some sort of expert on the genre.

    I just picked up the horrendous and multilaterally disappointing Colosseum Black Friday promo.

    I probably commented on this before, but what a truly garbage GWP for such an expensive set.

    They couldn't have done a pop-in floor or something actually related to the Colosseum?  Blech.  I truly dislike this set.

    Think they might be useful to a project I'm working on, but don't want to overpay. 
    Those technic axles will likely never be on a PAB wall, and they can be a bit pricey.  The rest of the pieces are pretty cheap on Bricklink.

    My new philosophy is buy everything I want the moment I see it.  The upside is that I have my Mos Eisley and Blacksmiths and am checking everyday on the Lantern Festival.  The downside is that I’m now sleeping on the couch. :o)

    I caved and bought the #40448 Vintage Car GWP off someone on eBay. Not as expensive as @Mr_Cross and his Panigale, of course, but I don't have the excuse of even a single scotch! ;-)

    LOL! I shall certainly have a couple of "glasses of excuse" this evening, once I finish work, though they're likely to be a G&T or two, instead of scotch (much as I enjoy a good malt from time to time!) :-)

    True, but using a straw in single malt is just uncouthed!
    In unrelated whisky drinking/lego buying news. I spent the evening building up wanted lists and carts for all four of the 70s F1 cars. Came in under £70, which I don't think is too bad for a quartet of big air box, fat slicked race cars!

    I’m buying very little at the moment; literally, just CMFs. Having acquired my S21 set plus a few extras, I was rather taken with @FowlerBricks photo in the “Status” thread of the Space Police guy. And realised it is great little figure with loads of detail and extras. So even though I’m not particularly into Lego Space themes except the real stuff like Saturn V, I now find myself needing to build a small space police force - 6 so far. I might have exhausted Alnwick Sainsbury’s supply (sorry, Timmy) - need to spread my essential shopping further afield! Also, may be in need of help - the professional kind.

    On Friday, Toys "R" Us had a buy 2 get 1 offer on the usual suspects (City, Classic, Friends, Duplo), so I did the obvious and grabbed some of the new road plates — a bundle of 3 is enough for my small layout. This month the LEGO Certified Stores have a new promo where any LEGO purchase gets a $10 voucher for Friends and DOTS sets with a minimum spend of $60, stackable with membership discount (AFAIK) and good through March and April. I got two of them as an excuse to get the two sets of #40461 I've been holding out for. I was originally going to get one set of tulips but I saw JANG display two sets and decided I needed to do the same, albeit with a brick-built vase. I may end up using only one voucher, though.

    Hey, thanks for the support @TheOriginalSimonB - hope you enjoy it! 

    I finally got Barracuda Bay! I also got the Skid Steer Loader, which is the first time I've bought a new Technic set (there have been some secondhand ones from the studded beams era) since 2000!  Such a nice looking little set... if this goes well perhaps I will get the excavator. 

    And I got the Amelia Earhart plane and the little Dots picture frame, so I have numerous incentives to power me through work for the next few weeks...

    according to the web site I got Amelia ... with my order for #60292 Town Center, #40442 Goldfish and #41928 Narwahl Bag Tag. Now if they could just leave my wallet alone for a while with no more promos I want!

    Watched a documentary on Disney+ NatGeo about the search for the plane. 90 minutes for them to say at the end of the film "yeah, we don't know where it is!"

    She was captured by the Japanese. I've seen the long distance,  blurry photo that proves it.

    I was waiting for Amelia to place my order for Mando's ship but it's gone from backorder to out of stock. Literally nothing else I want right now. Still can't bring myself to order A-wing UCS, the first one I've passed on in a long time (still waiting for a £500 UCS ISD)..

    Not even £20 off £129 [email protected] spend with Amex is swaying me.

    However, I've just seen medieval blacksmith, l might be tempted, very Game of Thrones if you could get a custom Gentry/Starks or make it part of Winterfell (direwolf and adaptable godswood tree already included).

    In the last week and a half, I have ordered two architecture sets, Dubai skyline and White House, with the 2nd also coming with the Amelia GWP. I have all the skylines but Venice and Berlin. I now have Capitol and White House. If only they’d do a Supreme Court Building set...

    I ordered a couple of the new Creator 3 in 1 sets along with the Dots Cupcake set to get the Amelia GWP.  Also ordered for same day pick-up from my local Target the Easter Chick & Rapunzel polybags.  Good thing I ordered them online because there was no sign of them in the store.

    Jealous @KungFuKenny... The Indiana Jones theme has always been one that's been on my peripherals as a theme I know I would enjoy owning, but just haven't been able to justify the prices for yet.

    Stayed up Friday night waiting for the Amelia GPW to go live since Diagon Alley was finally back in stock. Ordered the second it went live. a few minutes later I get an email saying sorry Diagon Alley is backordered. Darn. Got up Saturday and decided I should order something else in case the promos run out before they get the Alley back in. OH LOOK! the Razor Crest is back in stock, Ordered! A few minutes later I get another email, sorry the Razor Crest is backordered. Dang it. At least I had the smarts to add another item to that order so Amelia should ship soon!  And I don't have to worry about the other two sets showing up on my porch while I'm out of town next week.
