A few sets are on clearance here for 40% off including #60257, #70677, Hidden Side's #70423 and #70432, some Trolls and Spider-Man: Far from Home sets, and even #76122; the rest are uninteresting. I sat on #11003 for a long while, but am holding off for now. Instead, I ordered #41900 Rainbow Bracelet for the tiles. Even got another 10% off, effectively getting it at half price. Another bracelet to add to my collection of ones I'm not wearing...

Welp I just discovered that the same LEGO Singapore online storefront I got #41900 from has #11016, which has hitherto been impossible to find anywhere in the country. Its local MSRP gives it an even better PPP ratio than #10704, #11005 and #10717, although it appears all 4 sets share the same PPP in other countries. For once, my country is actually getting a better deal on a LEGO set...
This new set has dark green window frames I require for a MOC, and I'd much rather buy it to stock up on basic bricks, plates and slopes, than BrickLink the window frames themselves for an order of magnitude more PPP. But I was hoping to get it on sale, under the naïve assumption it'd be widely available right away...

So... this week I actually managed to pick up #11016 for more than 25% off. It also appears to be an online exclusive locally, which... why would a LEGO Classic set be made an online exclusive?
Interestingly, this year's Classic sets come with a numbered bag to go with the instructions, and then the usual unnumbered bags with the rest of the parts sorted by color (it's always funny to me seeing AFOLs react to that when they open their first Classic set). It's probably to help kids get started with the instructions more easily without being overwhelmed by the hundreds of bricks.

Today I also picked up #88011 Train Motor (Powered Up) from the LEGO store, as well as two copies of #31015 Emerald Express from a seller, just for the dark green 2x2 round bricks exclusive to that set. Had to pay 40% more than its original price, but thankfully it was a small and cheap set to begin with. I don't have an immediate use for the train motor since I already have one, but I needed an extra set of the train wheels with O rings as well as the dark green round bricks for a new steam locomotive MOC. I figured I might as well get the train motor pack since it's cheaper from the LEGO store than BrickLinking all the individual parts, and I'm sure I'll get to use the extra train motor later (I'll need an extra hub for it though, if I am to run two trains concurrently).

This is the same MOC I mentioned needing the dark green window frames from #11016 for. You start to see a pattern there...

I ordered 3 x Roses #40460 which arrived today for Valentine’s Day but then I thought I really should have 12 roses, so ordered 3 more boxes today.

A couple of orders arrived this week...

I had wanted to build the Elf Club House before Christmas, but covid inventory issues intervened... maybe I’ll go for Christmas in February instead!

Parcel arrived yesterday. Blacksmith looks amazing, really looking forward to the build when I gift it to myself for my birthday next month! The 1958 print is lovely too, but annoyingly 10mm small on the long side than another LEGO print I got a while back, so the plan for identical frames needs more investigation.
@KungFuKenny the Elf Club House is a sweet build too, first proper WV set I've got apart from the station and train. Gutted I missed out on the 50s car GWP as well

My package which arrived today contains exactly the same as Speedman's!

I'm also in the middle of moving house so I'm now remembering just how many unbuilt older sets I have so my spending will probably go on pause for a little while.

What's that you say? The 911 is released soon? Oh....

Out of interest, how is the print protected... I will reclaim the same print when I order the Porsche but have visions of it being a crumpled mess when it arrives!

They come packed in a sturdy cardboard package- I’ve ordered 4 or 5 of these vintage prints and they always arrive in good shape...

CMF 21 Space Police guys, found two at Barnes & Noble, plus Thwimp from Super Mario- he's going in my Ninjago Skull Sorceror's Dungeons. Then at Target I found the Centaur woman. Now I need to MOC a Space Police 4 ship for them. Hmm...

Oh well, I guess it should be OK with a big enough box as the rest of the order.  I wouldn't fancy it's chances if the rest of the order was just several small boxes!

I am trying to collect a few of the cargo trains for display, so this week I have bought 60052 and 60198, both were from ppl breaking sets up so they both came without engines and batteries so I have been getting those too as cheaply as possible. I also have 2 of the yellow cargo trains from mid 2000's so I have bought blue version of the bricks that make the train up to try and make one of the trains look like the old British Rail paint scheme, leaving the cab yellow.

:) When I first wanted to order them they were out of stock. Then I ordered 3, and thought I really need to have a dozen rose for valentines day so ordered 3 more (was suprised they were still in stock as the floral sets seem quite popular atm). In hindsight I think real roses would have been cheaper, but I can gift these each year!

#42122 Jeep Wrangler. Paid a dollar more than RRP at a local hobby store. I saw it yesterday at a Target, but held off to decide if I really wanted it. That Target only had one, and it was several miles out of my way today, so really it was cheaper from the hobby store. Well, that's my excuse, anyway. 😏 Now... what music should I listen to while building it? Techno, for Technic? (Except I don't have any Techno.)

Can I request that it not be "You Remind Me of My Jeep" by R. Kelly?

Sure! Since I've never heard of it! FWIW, I just looked through my CDs and picked some stuff I haven't listened to in a long time. Jonny Lang, Robert Plant, Poison. Two hours to build. Turning radius is huge, but otherwise I quite like it. This is the largest Technic set I've bought in more than a decade. When the "B" model instructions went online, I lost interest. Picture coming in a few minutes!

Same here, and only the whites ones were available when I ordered.. ended up cutting🙊 one stud off two sides of the baseplate as an experiment and it fit perfect! Looks okay but couldn't do that again to another baseplate...

I did try and sacrifice a baseplate but they are not that easy to cut (I was using a Stanley knife). Turns out when lego say the base plates are 25x25cm they are actually 25.4 or so.

Perhaps this would be an acceptable use for off-brand baseplates? They're cheap(er) and you wouldn't be chopping Lego up. Plus, you can get them in a wider range of colours.
I wouldn't buy them to use in any other way but I would, if I was going to display figures like this.

This did cross my mind, but I recently order quite a few white baseplates for this project. Thanks to Amazon prime I've ordered this frame for delivery tomorrow, although it doesnt have the depth im hoping I can fit the baseplate in this. The depth idea was more to help reduce dust by having it sealed with the glass/plastic.

I ordered Hagrid's Hut and the Minecraft pirate ship on Amazon on Wednesday.  Hagrid's Hut was delivered today, so I built it.  The Minecraft pirate ship hadn't shipped yet, so I cancelled the order after going for my afternoon walk.  Sometimes it's nice when things don't ship immediately.  That gives you time to change your mind.

I couldn't help myself! Lego store still had the #30628 The Monster Book of Monsters GWP, so I bought #75980 Attack on the Burrow, and got #30628, #40417 Year of the Ox, and #30411 Chocolate Box & Flower. Plus $5 worth of VIP points. So $40 of extras for a $100 purchase. 😁😁😁 I guess it's peanut butter sandwiches for lunch for a while!

I am now trying to find a miniature car Kenworth W900 my favorite model from this manufacturer, ever since I worked at wallwork truck. I did not even expect to find this series, but I was shown on one of the sites that the same exist. So now I'm looking for this model in miniature. Maybe if someone knows the sites where such miniature tracks are made, or someone who does, I will be grateful.
