Potential Interviewees

TLGTLG Member Posts: 125
Hello,
My name is Kaleb and I am currently working on a project discussing the history of TLG and the fan community. To deliver a quality product, I need various sources. That's were you come in. I am currently looking for potential interviewees to help me. If you are interested in this, please P.M. me. I will take anyone I can get.

Thank you for your consideration,
Kaleb

History of TLG? Sounds like a job for the encyclopaedic @Istokg‌. He has literally written the book on it!

There are a number of long-standing fans here as well (I am not among them unfortunately) who are always happy to tell us youngsters what it was like trying to collect Lego before the internet and so on. :-)

Also, have you asked on other Lego forums? They all have different histories to tell - there have occasionally been inter-forum rivalries etc, and it would be a good idea to get both sides of the story.

Yeah, what other forums should I post on? FBTB, Eurobricks etc.?
P.S.- If you know anyone who might be interested, tell them to hit me up;)

Yep to FTBT and Eurobricks - also try MOCpages. It might be useful contacting their admins as well as posting topics on their forums, as the admins tend to have been with the site from the beginning, and have been involved in every 'event' in their history.

I might also try the Bricklink forum if I wasn't afraid that the internet would eat me.

Now that I think if it, I think there are also theme specific forums, like www.classic-space.com. I think there also used to be classic-town.net and there might still be a classic castle forum out there. There are a couple of bionicle-specific ones too, I believe.
