Improved Search Functionality

augenaugen Member Posts: 317
I've noticed a few times that the results from using the search box at the top of the forum are poor. For example, I just searched on "Daily Mail Lego" and the main thread for the recent promotion entitled UK Free Lego with the Daily Mail did not even appear on the first page, which seems strange given that it's a large thread and the most recent post was this week.

Is there a better option for searching other than that box, or better still is there any chance that using it could yield better results?

Make that two that think the search functionality could be improved. Maybe a drop down to search forum title/forum comments/both title and comments? An advanced filter to allow date range or forum category would be great.

The reason is that no-one has used the words Daily and Mail in a post for a while. If you had searched for DM, you would have found it.

But I agree a title only search may be useful.
