Trades please. I have a long list of haves, and short one of wants!

I've tried the spread sheet, but it's getting a bit complicated, so I'm going to be selfish and start my own thread for my wants. Hope no one minds.

For the life of me I can not find the following by normal methods. Someone in Sheffield must have a scientific gnome fetish (other than me). I would like as many as possible of:

Lawn Gnomes
Scientists

I also need the following:
S2:
pharaoh
spartan
advernturer
karate master
downhill skier

S3
Tennis player

S4
Ice skater

I'm open to complicated 241 type trades either for my cheaper figs or my expensive ones if you know what I mean. My figs are listed here: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Savage_steel

(I'm in the UK, but willing to trade further if need be)

OT but have a full set of s5 if you're interested.
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
Im pretty sure I have 1 gnome and 1 scientist to trade with you. Haven't had to chance to look at your bricklink store properly but sure i will find something I need!
Btw did you got to legoland yet? What did you think of it (and GX)? :o)
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
Thanks Lost, hope I do have something you want. And no, not yet, we're going on the 2nd of Oct for 2 days. Can. Not. Wait!!! Shame we'll be missing Steam though, but I think that's too much Lego for my hubby to take!

Thanks Si - I also have 2 full sets of S5! I though you were buying a full set on ebay? Did you end up with too many?

In fact: also on offer 2 full sets of S5 :-) (not yet listed as I was gonna ebay them)

Does that mean you will be in Gx on the morning of Mon 3rd October? I pass right by the bull on my way to work at approx 8.45 so maybe we could do the trade in person then? Unless you need your scientist gnome army before then :-)
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
I will indeed. I'm happy to trade then, though it's only 58p for a large letter that can fit 4-5 figs in, so it's probably more effort than it's worth! Unless you have your eye on something bigger ;-)
Actually - I'm torn on getting the Castle from Argos - don't suppose you want any £80 sets do you so we can team up? Or, are you going to STEAM?
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
I am going to STEAM on the Saturday. Very much looking forward to it, tho I'm actually off to Billund today so that's kind of topping the excitement scale at the mo!

I'm on the fence currently too. I'm going to decide when I come back on Monday whether I'm going to do a 3 for 2 or not. I'll let you know then too what the sitch is with the trade. Would be nice to meet you even if we do only trade minifigs :-)
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
Oh wow! you totally win! :) Hope you have a fantastic time. Well if we're meeting and you're going to STEAM perhaps @atkinsar and I can pull of our daring 342 plan? If you don't mind passing a set along to me from him? (I'll take this to PM soon, but since it's a 3 way conversation, I'm doing it here for now!)
  • LostInTranslationLostInTranslation Member Posts: 5,572
I didn't mean to sound like I was competing with you, sorry! Just meant I'm in lego overload at the mo!

I don't mind playing courier for you. I had a convoluted journey to get there all planned out but flumpXxxx (can't remember the numbers!) is now giving me a lift and I'm sure he wouldnt mind if I brought a few boxes back :-)

^ Lol. That's extra! And yes, I can confirm Lost REALLY wants to go to STEAM. If you knew the extents she was going to to get there!

As it happens, I have a few to give to atkinsar when we get there. Maybe I should start up a courier service? :o)
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
He was thinking of trying you out as a courier flump!

LIT - I remember you saying you're going now. Definitely no competition. I think starting with LL is perfect... build up (and save up!) for Billund! Hope you take lots of pics and write us a full report :)

I think I'm going to have to work on the hubby to see if we can manage STEAM that weekend as well. Swindon can't be that far can it??

I have an extra S4 ice skater i can drop in your next parcel.
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
Thanks @dimefield - Do you want me to try and get the Pudsey bear for you btw?
  • dimefielddimefield Member Posts: 314
sure! and ill have a look for some scientists and gnomes...lots of s4 around here still, off in the aisles where i can feel for stuff at my leisure... (that never sounds proper..)
  • andheandhe Member Posts: 3,914
I could do you a karate master, scientist, gnome and tennis player. Do you want the complete figs or are you just after 'parts' (ie you want to make a tennis double)?
  • MinifigsMeMinifigsMe Member Posts: 2,844
Ooo - ace Andy - completes for them all, but spare labcoats and flasks for the scientist would also be useful. Let me know what you want in return.

Thanks dimefield - did you post the recent package yet, or can they go in there?

(I'll take this to PM soon, but since it's a 3 way conversation, I'm doing it here for now!)
You can have a 3 way PM conversation, just type as many names as you want in the box at the top.
  • princedravenprincedraven Member Posts: 3,764
@Savage_Steel, I could be tempted with the castle, if you need another number.
Probably going to STEAM or will know someone who is. Let me know. :)
  • LegoboyLegoboy Member Posts: 8,825
^ Really? Now, will you require a delivery service Sir or will you be collecting next month? :o)
  • princedravenprincedraven Member Posts: 3,764
^ haha, hoping to get there but if all goes pear shape and you have space for a small box.... ;)
  • dimefielddimefield Member Posts: 314
    No sign yet!

    Thanks anyway :)
I think the castle has been cancelled - so no convoluted STEAM trading on my part is needed (so far!) Unless a 3rd wants to come in at the £80 bracket? It's available for instore collection, so hopefully won't be too battered. Assuming @princedraven is willing to be courier to STEAM (hubby has said no, so @lostintranslation will also need to be involved!!)

Update (and a few things I'd forgotten I wanted!) My for trade/sale poly's list has also been updated

    Still more please:
    Lawn Gnomes
    Scientists

    I also need the following:
    S2:
    pharaoh
    spartan
    adventurer
    downhill skier

    S5
    Lumberjack (x2)

    Polys:
    30040 octopus
    4899: Tractor
    30042 minisub
    30000: Medic's Car
    30003: Road Roller
5610 Cement mixer (not poly, but don't mind it opened)

    Any coast guard figs

My store is now updated with new figs, some at high prices - sorry about that, many still at £2.00 though.

My wants haven't changed too much:
    Still more please:
    Lawn Gnomes
    Scientists

    I also need the following:
    S2:
    pharaoh
    spartan
    downhill skier

    Polys:
    30040 octopus
    4899: Tractor
    30042 minisub
    30000: Medic's Car
    30003: Road Roller
5610 Cement mixer (not poly, but don't mind it opened)

    Any coast guard figs please.

@lostintranslation - let me know if there's anything you want for your scientist and gnome
