How about an "annual common community feedback" to Lego?

Everytime there's something wrong with a set we write their customer service and get new spareparts. (Really nice). But with larger issues it would nice to gather opinions on behalf of several to add weight to the complain/suggestion/comment.

Since BrickSet is one of the mayor AFOL userforums of dedicated long term lego-lovers, it would be nice with an annual "report" to the Lego company on behalf of their mature audience with input to Lego in General. As indiduals, our voice easily drowns, but maybe it could be an idea to gather some mayor input for them, that Brickset pass on. I don't know if this is already fascilitated in the ambassor concept they run, but I havn't found anywhere to voice my inputs. Ofcause sometimes Lego make surveys and they get our opinion: But they choose the subjects we can respond to. With some joined effort (surverys and hours of voluntary work) we could front some common ideas and concern.

To specify... not specific complains on sets, neither suggestions on what themes they should run, but more products oriented input.

Any input on this (The ideas of giving an anual common community feedback to Lego)

Just to give an example on such input: (and obviously one of the thing that prompted me to start this thread):

LEGO GOLD: Several of the LEGO packages suggest we get "chrome gold" but opening the package we find the metalic gold mold that most often are closer to dull brown than the promised shiny gold colour. Examples of this: Isla de la Muerta (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=4181-1) & Pharaoh (http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=8684-16). A general thing that they portray their "gold mold" as "chrome gold" on the package, which disappoints!

I like the idea of gathering a group of thoughts and packaging them up for TLG. As you said though, perhaps the ambassador program is doing this. Which Brickset Admin is the ambassador? Rocao?

In regards to your specific issue with the coins, TLG acknowledged the issue and corrected it. If you were bamboozled, you can request the chromed parts:

^ Both bluemoose and more recently Rocao are ambassadors.
