Looking for High-Res Superhero Minifig images...

Since I can't possibly afford to collect the actual Superhero minifigs, I thought I'd just collect the images. (No, I'm not joking...)

So, does anyone have any good links or suggestions on where to find good high-quality minifig images? I know we've got a ton here on the site, but they're not consistent and the size is usually pretty small.

Ideas?

You could try the LEGO Marvel comic covers, there are some high res pictures around that you could frame up.

Yeah, I'm thinking more the 'classic' white background. Surely there's someone cataloging their collection, right? :-)

The ones that are available with the sets on LEGO's website won't do? They are on a white background.

It may not be what you are looking for, but I take reasonably high quality images on my flickr page:

I'm thinking about doing the same thing with Lego sets. I can't possibly afford them all. They will be easier to store as well ;)

I was thinking of doing something like this as sort of a place holder until I get the real fig (or a custom). I was also thinking of printing a nice color pic (preferably from a comic book cover with title in the background.) The brick built prototype minifig case I made will be too expensive in any quantity.

    What to do.

@samiam - thank you, though I'm looking for images with a more 'easily-removed' background. Much like the ones on the site here - just waaay larger, lol.

@akunthita - the ones on LEGO's site have transparent backgrounds as they're PNG files, which is great, though they're of the computer-generated variety, not the actual figures... ;-)

I have a bit on my flickr site:

I haven't had time to photograph much lately, but hope to get back to it soon. I've also been going back and re-photographing, re-editing some of the previous ones with newer, cleaner techniques. See the front facing one of The Flash for how I plan to photograph and edit them all.

I have all the Super Hero figs. Just need to find time to photograph them.

What size resolution are you looking for?

@samiam391 I don't know why or how one gets three sets of Toy Fair figs but I did see one Iron Man had a nick on the back, ouch! You do have a pretty fine collection, the pictures of Lando actually helped me because I'm going to buy him and it is nice to see real pictures of him. :)

PS. Please let me know if you are selling anything. ;P

    @sidersdd

As big as I can get. ;-)

(Seriously, 300 dpi, large enough to print 4-ups ideally. I have this crazy idea of printing the minifigs out 2 or 3 times their actual size on a high-quality adhesive paper and transferring them to a thick cardstock or foamcore before cutting them out. They'd make great little figure display stands. I figure (no pun intended) that it's just like having the actual figs on display really, but its more within my budget. And I don't have to worry so much about damage, lol. If something happens, I can just print out another one! :-D )

    Love your album!
