From an image of a VIP program invite received by someone on another forum.

Also, the November give away set will be a "holiday skating scene".

I'm hoping it's also for the UK; it would be a good time to get one of the sets over £100.

Excellent. I hope it's available to Australia as well.

This is my first November as a LEGO VIP member. Is there anything you need to do for the giveaway set, or is this the standard "gift with purchase" they do every month?

Is this the 2014 holiday set? I don't remember the Christmas tree stall /truck being available that early last year.

Probably more just a seasonal promo.

#40082 was available from mid-October last year, and #40083 was available on Black Friday.

So I take it we won't be getting triple VIP any time soon.

3x VIP was only for BF.

If I remember correctly, the 3x VIP was actually before BF last year ( a pre BF sale). Everyone was up in arms bc the 3x VIP was a much better deal than the actual BF sale.

Ahh, correct, that is what I mean the Pre BF VIP only sale. I hope that is going on again this year. there are a few sets that getting 3x point back on would be nice.

Its the standard free gift when you spend a certain amount, or at least it was last year. The amount to spend is normally the same level as for any other free set.

Hopefully the skating scene comes with a couple of the pre-molded pine trees.

I seem to have stopped getting any mailers from LEGO, I think I got one VIP item a long time ago and nothing since. I only got one catalog back at the beginning of the year and then nothing since. Only one Club magazine too. I know they are changing the age limits on the Club magazine, but that doesn't take effect for a while... Do you need to keep asking to receive these materials?

To get 2x VIP, do you have to be a VIP already, or does it count if you join at the time of your order?

Question. How much do money you fellow Bricksetters spend in October for double VIP points? I'm interested to here what you all have to say.

I have to ask for a new catalog every time, and I don't think there is a restriction on who can subscribe to Lego Club Magazine. Though when I signed up it, "Lego Club Magazine is design for children ages 5-13 do still want to sign up." which I did and have been receiving them since then. :-) Hope this is helpful. Please tell me if anything is wrong.

I do believe it counts if you join at the time of your order. Because in the Last week of April TLG had a 2x VIP point promotion and I signed up and bought #10237 Tower of Orthanc, and 399.99 points. :-)

With the lack of deals on the exclusive sets I do quite a lot of my S@H purchasing when the double VIP offer runs. I stockpile sets to build and spend enough to purchase a couple of currently unreleased largish sets for free (I know they're not, but it feels like they are!)

Great idea maybe I'll try it. And I know the whole "it feels free" feeling. I have my eye on #79018 The Lonely Mountain for sure, and maybe #10236 Ewok Village.
