Help with parts identification

Hello! Mods, if there's a thread already for this, please feel free to merge mine into it. I searched and could not find one.

I am home for a about 10 days and decided to take a look at my old LEGO. I am having difficulties identifying which theme some pieces may come from. I'll start with one and will have more as I sort through. As an aside, I almost cried when I saw the condition of some of my LEGO... My mother runs a daycare and kids have been playing with them for a long time. A lot of broken pieces, especially palm tree leafs from my pirate sets, some minifig accessories such as backpacks are broken, etc. Plus, everything is so dirty!!! And my cousin mixed a bunch of mega blocks and various other clone brands with it. :(

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to build some of my old sets using instructions found online :-). By the way, if it helps, most of my old sets were purchased between 1989 and 1994 in Europe. Mostly I had some space sets such as ice planet 2002, mtron, and then pirates and castle.

First part. I have no memory of this from when I was a kid. Obviously from some kind of vehicle.
