My wife just picked up a bunch of new sets at Toys R Us including the 42030

No discounts, but they were all the actual price that they were supposed to be and not given the typical "Toys R Us increase"

I think Thursdays are 10% off your entire purchase if you use your Toys R Us Credit Card...

So the good news here is that all the 2014 Technic sets will be available at TRU, and presumably at Amazon and other retailers. Hopefully we can find these sets at a discount here in the US.

Seems crazy the difference in release date for Technic in the US. The Volvo is out in the UK August 1st, but the others you have were available months ago, maybe February time.

Seems strange they made the US wait so long.

You get most licensed sets earlier than UK &europe so it seems only fair that we get something a bit earlier ;)

I gotta get the #42028 Bulldozer. It looks like a sweet set at a good price point.

The #42025 Cargo Plane looks good too, but a little pricey for me. I'll probably pick it up at some point though.

Toys R Us also had the 42028 Bulldozer in stock, the only sets they didn't have were the 42029 Pick Up Truck and the 42023 Construction Crew...

Yes, I am in the United States...

It is rather odd how we had to wait 7 extra months for the 2014 1st half Technic sets... I heard it was because Lego was focusing on promoting their movie sets over here...

I was at the LEGO store in Chicago this past weekend and was surprised to see #42023 Construction Crew in stock.

All new Technic were also out at the LEGO store today, however stopped at TRU to pickup #42030 with the 20% coupon they mailed about 2 weeks ago (the one that expires on 8/2)
