Preordering Lego in the UK

Does anyone know if it is possible to preorder Lego so that we get it on the day of release (like for example iPhones, dvds, PS games etc) or is the only way to get it on the day to go into the store?

    speaking from The US, our best/safest way is direct from a store (easiest at open as they are usually not to busy) every other way I know of either requires a 3rd party seller (and a price increase) or same day delivery charges which are also very expensive.

    Cheers for that. I have a Lego store about 5-10mins away so visit that instead.
