Hi all,
I've been looking to sell my lego recently and I was wondering if anyone here could help me deciding how much to sell my sets for, either in a bundle or individually. The sets are 100% complete with instructions but unfortunately no box. The sets are:
8275 - Motorised Bulldozer
6211 - Imperial Star Destroyer
10174 - Ultimate Collectors Edition AT-ST
7258 - Wookie Attack
4502 - X-wing fighter
7261 - Turbo Tank
6208 - B-Wing Star Fighter
7259 - ARC-170 Starfighter
6205 - V-wing fighter x2
7256 - Jedi Starfighter and Vulture droid
7676 - Attack Gunship
8016 - Hyena Droid Bomber
7671 - AT-AP Walker
I have other sets but would need to dig deep to find them.
Thanks to all those that help

The questions you have to ask yourself are: Do you want rid of the items quickly? Do you want rid of the Lego in one lot? Do you have spare time to list and post them separately?
I speak with people selling lego wanting more than they go for on ebay....
How about the guy who bought a #3182 airport from me a few weeks ago, and I'll be honest, for £175. He was so hell bent on getting one and he had 24 hours to do so he didn't realise the price also included #3181 passenger plane. He certainly left happy.
I'm interested, was he normal, mad, rich, or poor? I've met him, and I don't know. Sure you'll let me know what category he's in though.
Or what about the guy who did a 400 mile round trip for a Death Star with his 7 year old between Christmas and New Year 4 years ago because MK Lego store was out of them and his son had been saving all year. I thought he was mad at the time. Now as a parent I fully understand him.
That's why I did 4 x 100 mile trips in 3 days to ensure my daughter had an Elsa from Frozen dress last week on her birthday.
The bottom line is there couldn't have been a more clear answer than what @CCC gave.
Your point about waiting 6 months to get your £50 is absolute nonsense. The next 6 months never follows the path of the last 6 months whichever time span you choose.
Anyway, maybe I'm being harsh, I just don't understand what you're talking about.
But I'll sleep well tonight in the knowledge that your neither my financial advisor, or that you work for me.
If the guy paid 175 outside of ebay he was mad as the price you have got in ebay is around 155. Why should he then pay 175? He is doing you a favour by paying cash.
And why cant i work for you? I only charge £6.50 an hour....
I use eBay for a general idea of what something goes for (also if I want to buy something on eBay I use 'sold items' to see what they typically go for). eBay lets you select to search for items sold. One item sold for 150 and rest going for 100 tells me what to expect for that item. It does give you a range though and it also means you may have to wait, but it is matter of perspective. How much do you want vs how quickly do you want to get rid of it? Do you need money right away Vs being able to hold out until you get what you want? etc etc. Well guess what? You will likely have to do that regardless of the medium used (eBay, Craigslist, Bricklink, BrickOwl, etc)
I find it interesting that it appears that people that are bashing eBay and BL for pricing estimates, but yet apparently find it acceptable that someone is asking for, somewhat complete, strangers to put a number on something where there could be a conflict of interest (sure it is worth only 10; by the way Ill buy it from you) or the simple fact that many people will give many answers for whatever reason (like eBay or BL, if not worse as that is where many here get their data as well).
All numbers are arbitrary. Like @Pitfall69 says, using eBay and BL is getting an idea of its price range and selling for what you think is a good amount within that range vs how long you need to sit on it.
Also what eBay and BL will tell you is what the 'max' it is for that set regardless of it is 5 minutes or 5 months to sell. At least you will not under-price something that you thought was only worth 50 but then see that they go for 100 on eBay at times.
