Might be old news, and I didn't find the Hobbit tread... but with the product mag of jun-dec there is this image, which I guess will be the Hobbit Dragon we get for Christmas. :-)

(I'm so happy they didnt go for the Castle one)

    Not necessarily, thats the same CG one done for the game, presumably it will be similar to that at least.

    Why is Smaug red? Is it sunburn caused by a rare foray out of his Lonely Mountain lair?

    ^ I know that the red colour is a lot darker in the films but he is described as being red in the book, i think red is much better than him being brown or grey instead

    ^Tolkien's description of Smaug is that of a red gold dragon, not just a red one.

    ^Very true, but the idea of the gold being on the underside seems to have been completely omitted from the film so not surprised. I was reminded of it when watching Desolation of Smaug the other day and my girlfriend asked why a dragon would want the gold anyways.
