Assistance with selling Technic sets

With the current debate ongoing as to reasons for the relative lack of interest in Technic here in the States I thought I might bring up an issue I'm having. I am currently trying to sell three Technic sets (one is actually Mindstorms). I have posted on my local Craigslist (where I usually move quickly) and I here in the Marketplace. Since posting over the weekend I have received NO interest. I believe they are priced correctly but may be wrong. Would appreciate any input/guidance.

The sets are an #8070 Supercar, a Motorized Excavator, and a #3804 Mindstorms kit. What should the price points be and where should the be offered and to whom.

have you tried looking at Bricklink data for these sets? you can look them up there and see the frequency and prices they have been going for over the last 6 months.

Thanks! Bumble. According to Bricklink my pricing is fair- even to the point of being low. I guess it's just the lack of interest in Technic...

^ Or, possibly it's summer time and people aren't paying attention to Lego right now. Prices often drop low in the summer, you will get much better in the fall and winter.

The interest is not as widespread as System sets, so it may take longer, but if you're pricing it at or below market rate, #8070 and #8043 will almost certainly sell. RIS 2.0 will probably be more difficult to move because it's previous generation technology.

Not sure it's a problem with the sets (except the Mindstorms). I've sold both those sets very well. I think that right now it's a buyer’s market due to the summer season and other factors. As a re-seller I’ve seen an overall downturn in the USA market. I attribute this to buyer fatigue caused by Lego producing a huge variety sets. People are not "allowed" the time to investigate older sets because Lego is putting out a flashy, large and expensive set about every month. No time to give the wallet a rest and consider neat things you may have missed. Link to your Craigslist post?

Summer is not good for Technic(or Lego in general) wait until fall/winter...

Thanks to all. Consensus seems to be to wait until fall at least and I'll do that. No real need to move at this time; just going to be freeing up space and funds to invest in new sets (deal I have with the wife :/). I found an EV3 for $210 and purchased with a promise to replace the $$ via proceeds from the sale of something else. Wouldn't have been so bad but I had just purchased two complete sets of The Simpsons minifigs (each about $72US with tax).
