Very similar to bionicle type builds but there's no manufacturer on it. Any ideas?

    There's no markings on Mega Bloks bricks as far as I know.

    True.

    It is a Mega Blocks set, though. I owned this very figure some time ago (no worries it was trashed long ago ;-) )

    This was their first journey into constraction figures just after Bionicle's prime. Neo Shifters soon followed (which featured no Mega Block parts all-together).
