I just wanted to take a minute and share one of my newer creations with everyone. This is my Koenigsegg Dealership and Showroom! Koenigsegg is a Swedish hyper car manufacture, but sadly it hasn't gotten any attention from LEGO. I know that I would never be able to purchase a real Koenigsegg for a few million dollars, but a couple of LEGO models were give me a little satisfaction! If you want to see more and have any comments or suggestions, please head over to my LEGO Ideas page and let me know! And if you like it enough to support it, please don't hesitate!

    Check it out here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/7a0ad979-b2fb-4fdf-be9c-2f822c37892c

Not my submission, but I really hope this SR-71 gets made. My favorite aircraft of all time; I still have the Lego model I made 40+ years ago.

Hello Brickset users! I have a creation on LEGO Ideas that I would like to share, and I hope you find it interesting enough to support and share.

    Here's the link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/7b28d166-8348-4f6b-bc00-d9efd5fd077a

This is my Elegant Dance Platform. It's like the classic dancing boxes with the figurines, but this one is made of LEGO pieces and has some extra features. More details in the link above.

I hope you found this interesting to support! Thanks!

My Wind-up Robot project recently got a staff pick, and it helped a lot but I need some help with gathering support. If anyone has any ideas on how to promote it, please let me know. Do you think it stands a chance? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have created a Lego Skyline of my home city of Belfast. I believe the city has architecture which is as interesting as any of the official Skyline cities, but I know that Lego are unlikely to produce it themselves.
I have already attracted interest in local media and I believe that this is a perfect way to showcase a city which has always been in the news for the wrong reasons.

I rendered this image from a design on LDD, since some of the parts needed do not exist in the right colours.

THanks for looking, and I appricate any comments, questions and of course support!

@McClellandMic Fantastic - I've always wondered what it would look like in Lego! So many details to love here, especially stuff like the Big Fish and the Nomadic!

@McClellandMic - recognised the titanic exhibition building and yellow gantry cranes immediately. Good work!

@EddieYoung - like the robot, especially when it can walk!

@MaffyD thank you so much! They certainly are inconic, which is why I think they'd make a great Lego set!

I love the idea of the lego creative boxes to expand my lego collection with a lot of reasonably priced pieces, but based on my projects I really don't want all the neon red and yellow pieces.  Personally I always need more nature pieces, branches, limbs, mountain/stone pieces, brown and green blocks, as I build landscapes or add trees to existing sets.

Accordingly I've proposed a Lego Nature Creative Box.  Check it out...

I just made a video for my newest Lego Ideas project! I wanted something that was easily shareable and conveyed the entire concept in around a minute. I think the result is pretty cool! Check it out here:

OK, so this didn't hit the 100 mark on its first attempt, but as I've now got to grips with LDD and Bluerender I'm having another go at it - accepted first time this time, and rather quickly!  So the X-Bomber has launched again, this time featuring a Dai-X minifigure that is housed in three pieces on the X-Bomber itself!  It's crazy but it works!  It also features concealed twin spring shooters.  Have a look and support if you like it, then tell your friends!  Cheers!

and no one cares about it because people only care if they have seen it in a movie or video game

yeah, given the quality of the model, I'm surprised it got that little support. I guess it wouldn't look out of place next to SW ships, some bits make me think of rey's speeder.

Finished Batcopter part of my Lego Ideas proposal (see update section) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70489
The wings on that thing make no sense from any kind of functional perspective.  The helicopter doesn't use wings to generate lift - and all they do is make it much wider than it needs to be - while making the aircraft much more susceptible to up-currents and harder to fly.

Other than that, I like it.
  • alaskaguyalaskaguy Member Posts: 335
It is a great Hollywood device for a TV show. Helicopters in the real world are not designed this way, for the reasons specified above.

Whether they are designed that way or not.  The builder was trying to replicate the 60's tv copter, which I think he nailed perfectly.  Besides half the stuff Lego makes wouldn't work in real life. Lighten up a little.

Right, feel free to dislike the batcopter, just saying pointing out real life issues with fantasy designs doesn't really help anybody.  We know why bat wings hanging off a helicopter doesn't make sense.

Nah, you basically came in and critiqued someone's work (which is fine) but in reality you were critiquing the source material.  Was just trying to help you out.  Maybe you never saw the original batcopter for all I know.  If that's the case my apology.

As soon as I got X-Bomber live (and happily it hit 100 so it's still live!) I had people going "that's great, now do Dai-X".  So I rolled up my sleeves, went 100% digital and came up with  something that looks a little like this! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/66112051-9887-46fe-b357-01793ae96554

I went for a Microfighter approach so I could include the pilots, because I realised in doing this and X-Bomber just how big the ships in the Star Fleet series were - there was no chance I could scale up to minifig size and stay sane or within the parts limit!  As it is, this is a compromise as BrainCom, the head unit, looks different in fighter mode in the show but I couldn't reproduce it at this scale.  Also, he'd need some decals to get his markings just right, but staying within LDD this is the best I could do. Comments would be great, I've not tried a mecha before but the articulation seems to work OK in LDD.  I may try and build the whole thing one day, but thus far I can confirm that the foot / leg transform works fine!
