If Lego wants any Ghostbusters sets to be made they'll do it themselves. Any Ideas sets for the theme are fruitless attempts IMO no matter the quality.

Hi @Legopassion8 yes all the parts for gozers temple are in the fridge,I just forgot to include the shot of it. It's a 2x1 triangle on 2 1x2 with an upright 1x1 round transparent pice, basically a step with the pyramid.

I have to agree that a Ghostbusters set won't make it through Ideas any more, but that apartment is delightful--IMO much more fun than the Big Bang Theory set--so I supported it anyway. You must have had a great time designing it!

Mini Modular Golf (Playable)

This set consists of 739 pieces that build 7 modular stages,All the stages are interchangeable and customisable allowing for endless combinations.

The set is fully playable either with the two included minifigures and clubs,of palyed as finger golf.

On the corse is the tee off green with tee and bench,then is the windmill with working sails,then comes the bridge with water beneath ,if the ball falls in there then its back to the tee.

After the bridge comes the chicane,very tricky to negotiate ! straight after that yo need to avoid the bunker with fresh raked sand ready to stop your golf ball.

Then the epic river jump,your going to need to make sure your chip is on par to complete this obstacle ,your then going to be on the putting green,line up your shot and sink it in the hole.

you will be able to customise the whole corse to make it as easy or as challenging as possible.

Other than that, I love the modular idea of it. Lego City needs more leisure activities and fewer police and fire stations, amirite?

I designed an Architecture model of the MI6 Building in London (Its that great looking building they use in James Bond movies), its an iconic building but its been rejected by Lego Ideas. I did make a mistake and link it into James Bond (thinking that may help with gathering support) but when I removed all references it was rejected again. I am at a bit of a loss as to how I'm breaking the house rules. Am I missing something - is this an infamous building? Didn't think I could go wrong with a real world building.


I even managed to add a light up feature..... Oh well.





Is there a list anywhere of forbidden Lego Ideas subjects. This is the second failure (although Futurama was never going to make it - what was I thinking).

Couldn't say what went wrong with your pitch, @eiffleman, but the model looks terrific - and that's coming from someone who isn't usually attracted to the Architecture line!

Thanks, glad you like it. My pitch was the usual background history, I even called it by an alternate name.....

This iconic London building is known as the SIS Building, Vauxhall Cross on the banks of the Thames.

A competition to develop the site was won by architect Terry Farrell, with an urban village as Farrell's original proposal. A scheme of office blocks was subsequently developed for the site, with a government agency as their occupier. Farrell's design for the SIS building was influenced by 1930s industrial modernist architecture such as Bankside, Battersea Power Station and Mayan and Aztec temples.The building was completed in 1994 and, when viewed from the river, it is an imposing fortress, from other aspects it appears more to be a more traditional office block

The building was described as an 'epitaph for the 'architecture of the eighties'

@eiffleman not sure about the confusion, it was rejected because it is the MI6 building and therefore has links to modern warfare etc. I guessed that straight away but they said that in their response too. 
Getting an architecture to 10k would be tough, but even then I would be very surprised if one passed review. What with it already being a theme and that.
Its really good though, fantastic detail at the scale it is.

Guess I was looking at it as an interesting building. It was not designed for its current users. Perhaps if they ever move out and an insurance company takes it over I can post it again :)

I suppose some of my disappointment is because it did come out OK. Not all attempts at making small scale architecture work out.

^ I would suspect the answer is yes... It is a pity, I would have definitely voted for that building, still remember it in The World Is Not Enough, which is saying something, I'm not a big fan of modern architecture normally. Can the set be built from existing parts? *crossing fingers*

Unfortunately the project did need Lego's special ability of being able to change the colour of the plastic. I've tried making it using the standard set of pieces in LDD and some of the shapes don't appear in any colour!? But they must exist in some form musn't they. I'll do a little research and what could be built.

Ahhh... I see one of the parts is new to LDD, the 2×2 wing/plate, I believe you may find some in the new Nexo Knights, SW or SH sets, but TLG only made them available in extended mode, so you'd need to check Rebrickable/BrickLink/Brickset for available colours, so tan would be doubtful...

Is the piece that has been out for ages that is 4x2 with cutaway both ends available in the right colour? Can't check on my phone easily. You could build it half inside. 
Anyway, fairly confident the new nexo shield doesn't come in the right colour yet anyway. 
Why would they not build the Whitehouse? As far as I was concerned that would be more like the houses of Parliament (decisions made) than the MI6 building (strategic and information and home to commanders etc. Like the pentagon). I think they would reject the pentagon. Not to mention making a pentagon on a baseplate would be.. Erm.. Fun?

I begin to think the true problem was the lack of explosion features. the playability is not enough. and a catapult to launch the boat.

@Fauch, have yet to see Spectre, can't really get into the Daniel Craig Bond films. I'm not a fan of reboots that aren't reboots that are reboots, which is probably why I still haven't seen Episode VII...

Now, @commandervideo, that is a cool original set.  I love the alien hiding behind the tree.  The only thing I can think though is that it needs a little something extra.  Maybe some mods to the alien ship or something else going on on the ground.

I thought about adding a beam as well, and in fact, had trans-blue cylinders (part 6259) mocked up at one point, but I felt that they made the story a little too specific and took away the mystery. Also, it took up a lot of real estate on the ground. 

But now that you mention it, I have an idea of how to maybe make this work--and how to push it over the top too! I might do an update.

Hey everyone! 

Here is a lego technic engine that I have built!
The main goal was to design a small engine with as many moving parts as possible. It's an 8 cylinder with moving valves. The latter are mainly for visuals and don't really have any other purpose.
To keep the model compact I had to ditch the idea of putting in cam shafts. So I figured out a way to make the valves move by using the rotation of the crank shaft. This however forced me to align the cylinders horizontally. It's not how a real engine works, but I figured, since this is a small lego model, it's best to keep it simple. It's a reliable and functional mechanism . It also makes a satisfying sound :) 
It features a large power functions motor that is already built in, which was one of the main challenges as well. 

Due to its size, this model fits perfectly on a desk as a display model. It could also be installed in large MOC cars, as it has a lot of mounting points.
