Yeah, I know, I don't normally show these kinds of MOC's here (I save them for EB), but it's still a mech hardsuit and, well, I liked how the render turned out on this one :-) Oh, and see the light effects in the lightsabers to make them look like lasers? @rancorbait has actually asked me "how do you do that?" (believe it or not ;-) ).
I really need to fix up and make more MOCs; I am very enthusiastic about the prospect of working as a Designer at Lego how am I going to become a Lego designer if I cannot build Lego creations at this level :/
Note: This is my first LDD to POV-Ray conversion.
Link to project on Lego Ideas.
Well I finally got it approved, this is my Vampyre Squadron MOC.
It consists of five vessels, two fighters, a gunship, a tank, and a missile boat. I based the design on an earlier MOC that I came up with, an Imperial Ice Speeder, but as I know that Star Wars MOCs are very unlikely to succeed on Lego Ideas, I revamped (arf :D ) the design and eventually came up with these five.
The Gunship
The Strike Fighter
The Naval Fighter
The Missile Boat
The Tank
I did also make a sixth model, but as it's blatantly Star Wars based I had to exclude it from the final collection. It's a shame really as out of all the ships, it's by far my favourite.
The Interceptor
These ships are now listed on the Lego Ideas site, and any support would be greatly appreciated. Now, Lego didn't like me including this image, and I had to remove it before I could get my submission accepted, but I think it looks pretty cool, and I put a fair bit of work in to it :D.
I know it's a bit cheeky posting this to try to gather some support, but as no-one that I know is in to Lego (just me) I don't really have any other means of spreading the word.
Either way, opinions are welcome :).
Jokes aside, it sounds like a great idea for a contest, I can't believe no one has already thought of this before today!
@vitreolum Why not add a Dewback to it and just post it here? Just because the contest restricted the part content doesn't mean you can't do one and post it in just this thread :-)
Try to limit yourself in the number of comments you post though. Instead of posting 3 comments like you just did, just make them into a single comment. If you type something out, post the comment, but then remember you forgot to say something you can use the edit feature instead of posting a new comment. The edit feature is viable for 6 minutes after the post has been made.
Another micro scale attempt, haven't built one in a while.
Apparently I'm a fast builder, most of my mocs are 1-3 hour builds... which is funny as I'm quite slow when it comes to building sets.
Heh, just found my very first MOC since coming out of dark ages, all alone on MOCpages.
@vitreolum did that string by the carbonite controls do any thing or just used for details?
EDIT: Just saw that Et isn't actually that bad Silver Sufer is still 69 Euros!
But on a more serious note, that is some flippin amazing part usage there, especially in the garden and the bird.
