This is a large lot of classic LEGO sets from the late 1980's and the very early 1990's. I bought this collection from a single owner, and have only partially sorted it. Some LEGO I have cleaned some I haven't. When I bought them, the sets were mostly all still put together, and as I sorted through some of them to match the instructions to the bricks, it was clear that what was in the manual was what was in the bricks.

I would like to sell it as a single lot, and would REALLY prefer to not have to ship it. I am in northern New Jersey, about 45 mins outside of NYC. I'm not firm on that, but it's my preference.

Anyhow, I have NO IDEA what to price this at. Some minifigs are sorted in with some of the sets I began compiling, and others are in bags as you see in the photos. There are more than 50 baseplates. Anyhow - PLEASE ask questions or consider making an offer.

The manuals include:

@MiniFigHunter Thanks anyway! It's such a cool collection, but I just don't have the space or the time right now to do it the justice it deserves.

    Hi everyone,
I just went and researched the sold prices of each of these sets on Bricklink, and wrote down the "low" and "high" selling price for each.

The low came to about $2,000, and for some of these sold sets, they did not include instructions.

The high just above $3,300. (Note: I did NOT pick the highest price, but those on the higher end. I know there are always outliers on the top and bottom of sold listings.)

Now, I ABSOLUTELY understand that my lot is not sorted into sets, and that there is zero guarantee that every piece is here. So I am NOT looking for top dollar, I just wanted to get a sense of value if these were all sorted, complete, and sold off separately.

I'm not even putting my "asking" price between these two numbers, it was more for me to get a sense of what is in this lot. So please, if you think you may be interested, please put out an offer - ANY offer.

@drdavewatford Thank you so much! I would love to be able to keep it, but I just don't have the time or the space for it now.

@brickupdate‌ I'll buy some of those crater baseplates from you if you'd be willing to part with? I'm in the US.
  • brickupdatebrickupdate Member Posts: 1,020
@Chrisbstm sorry, I want to sell this as a single lot.

Yeah I read that, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. You got a lot of cool stuff it looks like, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to unload it for a good price. Good luck!

Open to offers on this lot, and looking for local pickup in New Jersey if possible. As for pricing, I'm simply not sure what to ask, and I'm NOT trying to make a killing here. Thanks!

You should post this on your local Craigslist if you haven't already because trying to find a member here that will read this, consider buying and lives in New Jersey is a pretty slim chance. Just a little advice.

@bobabricks good advice! When I can, I always like to start with this community, which is just so awesome. But I'll likely move to Craigslist soon. I have to say Craigslist is usually a frustrating experience.

Bump. This is still available, but I now need to really move this collection. Please let me know if you have an offer for the lot as a whole. I prefer to sell this locally, I am in Northern New Jersey (closer to NYC, CT, PA, etc." The entire collection fits in two large rubbermaid containers, so shipping would be expensive.

I just weighed the bricks, and we are in the range of 70-75 pounds. I can certainly make a more accurate measurement, but this gives a general sense of weight for anyone considering the bulk value.
