Similar Lego comics list for $10.99 in US (Walmart) so seems to be a good deal.

$2 yard sale find! Complete except two pieces (which were very minor and easily replaced with parts from my own collection)
Great deal.  Wheels alone sell for over $20.  Love this set.  I've only seen this Hailfire Droid for sale once in my area about 2 years ago.  That would be the time I bought it.  :-)  Enjoy!

#75167 Bounty Hunter Battle Pack $4

Yes, I'm very happy with it. Hoping I can score some more great deals at yard sales this summer. I doubt any will top this, though

#21137 for 20% off at TRU. Not the greatest but pretty good compared to regular or eBay.

I was hoping to be able to brag about buying a UCS MF... But instead I had to spend £625 on a pram! No UCS MF for me.

I was buying 30 cmfs on sale at $2 each and grabbed the display box as none were left other then those and didn't want to throw them in the cart. The cashier scanned the box for $2 and gave me a total of $2.12 for them. Told him they are $2 each and there are 30 of them. He added 30 more so charged me for 31. Had to go back the next day to get my $2 back.

Almost had something to brag about. Was at Wal-Mart searching for a particular picture frame & found it. My son asked if we could look at toys, where I found one copy left of #41597 Go Brick Me marked down from $30. 700+ pieces for $22, nice!

Checkout line was long so we did self-checkout. I scanned it and it rang up at $7.99, for a sec I thought I had found an awesome deal! Looked at the box & someone had taped another UPC over the real one. (But left it on the shelf?) Flagged down the employee monitoring the self-checkout, described what happened & said “Sure I like a deal but I’m not into fraud.” She fixed the price but literally could not have cared less.

Whatever, paid a little more than I could have but my integrity’s worth more than that. Hopefully set a good example for my son too.
And whoever stuck on the wrong UPC hoping to come back later will be mighty pissed.  Good job all round!

They are always watching! That lesson was well worth the added expense of not stealing. Well done for the next generation.

Why didn't they just buy it immediately though? I mean, if you're going to go and swap UPC codes, you might as well just buy the item and walk out immediately. What's the logic in leaving it behind for someone else to pick up?

It's not illegal to walk into a store and purchase an item with an altered bar code.  However, it is illegal to walk into a store, alter a bar code, then purchase that item.

Found a boxed Shuttle Adventure 10213 on a flea market yesterday. Two bags were open, the rest still sealed. Paid €100, which to me is a great deal. Began building and two items are missing: a visor from one of the mini figs and a tire from the shuttle. Maybe a few other items fell out of the box but will buy them at BrickLink if so. Happy :)

Got #75885 for 30% off at Toys R Us. Not a huge deal, but I'm happy since I wanted that set since it was released.

That's a very good price! I paid more than that for mine.

On a related note, and back on topic as well, just added below new shuttle to my collection. Got it for the equivalent of US$40, not a lot of saving but good enough a discount. :))

Perhaps not illegal, but certainly immoral.

Thanks, Recce. I finished the build yesterday and there is only the golden visor that is missing :)

But not the latest Creator 3-in-1 Shuttle and all those old and big shuttle sets.

    GBHQ # 75827
    Lego Ferris Wheel # 10247
    Lego Carousel # 10257
    Lego Pet Shop # 10218

All for £130 plus postage - a few minifigures missing but most pieces look to be there.
Do you actually have it all in-hand?
  • adukaduk Member Posts: 155
^ Yes, picked it up last night. Working through what is missing - definitely missing some of the GBHQ figures (mainly the ghosts since all the Ghostbusters are present)

All looks in good condition as well.

Location is so obviously everything - it's close to impossible to buy a used,, 100% complete Assembly Square  in Australia for the total cost of that lot! Factor in ANY sort of shipping if it's non local and your talking about a lot that's been bought for around 10-15% of what it could sell for every day here...
I really need to move back to the mother country!

I found this guy in a friends garage sale. He told me he got it from a LEGOLAND Park. Not sure if I want to keep or sell but not sure what I would sell it for. It’s huge!

Just got a Silver Centurion minifigure for £1 (plus £1 for postage).

Saw the listing on Facebook Marketplace earlier in the week for "Iran Man Lego Man" [sic]. It was listed as being near to me, hence why it was flagged. However, it turned out the seller was 150 miles away but she agreed to post.

I was half expecting it to be fake but for that price it was worth the risk. However, it turned up this morning and it's completely legit. His helmet is slightly scuffed (oo-er!) but I'm very happy as it was one of the Iron Man suits that I was missing.

So are your images. I'm assuming whatever you found was awesome but please for the love of god put your photos in spoilers.
