$2.00 TLNM CMFs were just too good to pass up.  (Not sure what I'm going to do with them...)
The wegmans near me has almost 2 boxes full of ninjago movie cmfs for $2 each. I don't collect them. If anyone wants them let me know.
I'm tempted but probably shouldn't. I already got a lot of inventory locally and it would be a bit less of a deal after shipping and handling

No handling. Just shipping at cost. Though yesterday it was down to just over a box and they looked picked through.

Bought #9500 Sith Fury Interceptor for $50 through Facebook.  The box and first bag were opened and it was missing Malgus' lightsaber and one of the troopers, but the rest of the bags were still sealed.  My son and I made an afternoon out of building it yesterday.

Don't know if this is a brag or if I'm just proud lol but I dug through all my spares and spent $150 on bricklink for what I was missing but I cobbled together #10190 Market Street.

Picked up a used #42054 Claas Xerion for £70 on Gumtree the other day. Looks to be complete, although a little dusty. Only problem is that it's massive, going to be tough to sneak it past my missus!

Found 3 #75178 sets for $13 each at a local Wal-Mart.  I had previously been unable to find them during the past markdown season. Store showed them in stock but they were no where to be seen. I happened to notice them on the bottom shelf today. No telling how long they had been there. Not terribly excited about the set itself, but for parts I'll take em at that price.

Just gotten these from a local clearance sale. Prices range from the equivalent of US$15 for the smallest set to US$55 for the biggest one.

Hahaha. If I sell them at all it will be one of if not the lowest listed price on eBay. At the price I paid it's tempting to sell the figs and just keep the pieces.

Well today I found #8043 at the dump swap area... No box, instructions are there. Looks like most of the important stuff is in there but I'll have to put it together to figure out if it's complete. Regardless, free is free
  • BrickByBrickBrickByBrick Member Posts: 748
Update: looks like it's missing stickers. Not a killer, but they look really good on it... I don't know if I want to spend $30 to get a replacement sheet.... Hmmm...

What is a “dump swap area”?

A storage container at the dump where people can put decent stuff that they don't want and others can just take it.

I picked up a used Parisian Restaurant #10243 today off of FB Marketplace for $80... the set appears to be complete including instructions. There's no box. It's dusty, so it will need a good cleaning, but otherwise, everything looks good.

At first, I jumped at this set for half price, but now that I own it, I'm second guessing myself... thoughts from the Brickset community? Worth bragging about or did I get a great used set for an average price?

@justintarte you got a deal! It's hard to,dind any modular on any sale really, so half off is definitely worth bragging about. Plus it is a gorgeous set. Well done!

$80 is a good price.  The problem I personally have with buying pre-built Lego sets is that you lose out on the experience of building it.  Yes, you can take it apart and then put it back together.  But that's extra work.  Bottom line, if it's a set that you previously wanted then you did well.  The Parisian Restaurant will most likely retire this year and I believe that it will do better than the Pet Shop and Palace Cinema in the aftermarket.

^^ A 50% off Aussie price tag is virtually unheard of and indeed a cause for celebration (even IF it's AOH!).
I'm assuming that's your local Target clearing those out @blakusdk?
I've managed to get AOH, UCS Tie and the Classic Batcave at 50% at Target Qld over the last 12 months.

@MAGNINOMINISUMBRA yea our local seems to be clearing out a lot of sets, got some bits for the little bloke when he older and just think most would go well with my Hoth MOC and part out the rest.

probably so cheap because a massacre just took place in place of the restaurant.  still a good deal.

Those appear to be the display 'play' bricks.

Too bad they didn't have the make-and-take Falcon, Cogsworth, Lumiere, Jurassic Park, Kayak or Frankenstein!

But that is a nice score!

From what I can tell I do have the parts from the Emmit's car build and the speed champions build. I found a stack of the " drivers license" down in the box.

I also ended up with a stack of the instructions for the BB-8 build.
