Just found a 10lb lot on eBay for $60. Pretty decent $/lb. However, it appears to have most of a UCS R2-D2, which is worth ~$225-250. Fingers crossed that most of the pieces are there.
Just an update, after doing a bit of sorting it does seem that the majority of the parts are there. The main issue is that it is missing all four of the hoses (worth $10-20 apiece it seems). The R2-D2 minifigure and the plaque are also missing. I haven't checked the inventory yet, but it does seem that at least 90% of the set is there.

The rest of the lot was just several lbs of random parts, plus ~$60 worth of (new generation) bionicle parts, which alone almost covers what I paid for it- happy about that.

If anyone is interested in a partial R2, shoot me a PM. I haven't inventoried it yet but can/will soon. Looking for $130-140 plus shipping, assuming 90%+ is present. Pics are available.

Check for the brown hoses that attach to his feet, I believe those were exclusive to that set and probably the most difficult/expensive to replace.

    Nobody is that good.
Clearly they have dirt on Santa.
Or this forum member is Santa and when he took them out of his bag to deliver, he decided he works really hard so he deserves a little extra something and slipped them back into the sleigh when the reindeer weren't looking.

I was glad to find a #70816 Benny’s Spaceship Spaceship SPACESHIP at a local hobby shop today for $85, plus I had a $10 coupon.

I picked up a CMF Series 6 Roman Soldier for £3 from a toy fair at the NEC yesterday. Dirt cheap compared to one stall asking £25, and another asking £12.

^ Yeah, I was impressed with how solid the vehicles are. Hope my kids like it!

Well, today must be my lucky day! Saw a couple of ads on Facebook tonight (same seller) with very blurred photos, one of about 30 minifigs (I recognised a few CMFs despite the pictures); one with a pink box of parts; they were asking £5 for the figs and £10 for the box. I offered to buy the figs, then when I got there had a look in the box and offered £13 for both lots. Upon excited inspection at home I found #5560 (the pink box), a handful of polybag sets (2 Harry Potter, one Batman, one Star Wars, one Cars and one Friends), a Team GB Horseback Rider CMF and an almost complete set of series 5 CMFs (with some duplicates). All that is missing are the Gladiator's head and helmet and the Lumberjack (though his axe is there).

All in all a good day!

Had to run to Walmart real quick last night, so of course I had to check the LEGO aisle! :D Pretty splotchy shelves as they’re in the middle of a reset. Snagged Lloyd’s Dragon Mech for $25. :)

So lately I've been more into buying random lots of legos from people because I enjoy the challenge of going through all the pieces and trying to figure out what sets are there and rebuilding them. Well last Monday my wife found a $25 lot with a decent amount of legos in it for $25 so we went and picked it up. To my surprise I found the Cloud City Boba Fett sw107. Talk about one hell of a deal!

Boba Fett does a lot of bounty hunting. You'd expect some battle damage!

Sets so far from a $20 bulk buy. Ad said 5 lbs for $25. Was up for a week, no buyers. Pics showed several non-LEGO bits & pieces. I asked the seller to remove those & it'd sell immediately; no collector wants to pay for non-Lego junk mixed in.

Long story short, he knocked $5 off for helping him. Incomplete sets were finished with personal collection parts.

8093 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter (no figs, missing white tail, otherwise complete)
    4439 Heavy-Duty Helicopter (85%)
8465 Extreme Off-Roader  (75%, a few of these pieces are super rare! PM me if you can help!)
42026 Black Champion Racer (90%, with box & manuals, weak pullback motor, goes about 5 ft)

Just found a #75190 FO Star Destroyer for $79 at Walmart. Oddly, it wasn’t even marked as a clearance price. It just had a normal shelf tag that said $79.

I feel like I never find amazing deals, but thought I made out okay today:

    #75164 Resistance Trooper Battle Pack
    #75171 Battle on Scarif
    #75155 Rebel U-Wing Fighter
    #75172 Rebel Y-Wing Starfighter

$143 all in. Not amazing but reasonably solid

Played with, or chewed on?  I'm guessing the latter.

I’ve noticed something somewhat similar in my area, but not to the same extreme. A couple of my Targets put the mountain police sets in the after-Xmas clearance aisles at 30% off immediately. They never even made it to the regular LEGO aisle.

Nice find, and it brings the price down to something that's actually reasonable for that part count! XD

scooped up #4502-1 for $40 dollars today. Considering that's 10 dollars lower than RRP 14 years after release, I had to pull the trigger and buy it!

^Not sure on the official purpose, but we always used them between cab/trailer, car/caravan or train carriages instead of ball joints or other couplings.

Ah yes attaching cars + trailers etc makes sense. They're very random, but a nice addition to the Lego pile that I seem to be acquiring :)

I recently purchased a some minifigs off of eBay for $80- it was a couple quart bags (one Star Wars & one assorted) as well a bag that had a few classic minifigs. The seller said it appeared to be about 2 lbs, but wasn’t sure. It arrived yesterday, and it’s safe to say I’m very pleased. The SW bag weighed ~14oz and the assorted bag weighed ~15oz. Not many complete figures but quite a bit of pieces! What really takes the cake is the classic figures- I got 28 total figures (7 forestmen 21 knights) which alone are worth a nice chunk of what I paid for the lot!

Got a 60036 arctic base camp for $20 (retailed for $90). Box was open and first bag was open but nothing built and nothing missing. All instructions and stickers. It's weird... like someone sat down, cracked it open, and was ready to build but it never happened. A relative got it from a coworker so I never got a story.

How strange, lucky for you but you do have to wonder what stopped them from building :)
