I know this thread is mostly about great buys, but I'd like to post about a great sell.
I was finally... finally able to sell my Hoth Han poly. Thankfully, I got $10 out of it... although with free shipping and eBay fees I only got about $5 back. I consider getting what I did a blessing. Still, the site of seeing that ugly figure being packed away in an envelope and sent across the country was enough satisfaction for me. There are some things money can't buy.
At least I never have to see it again. Good riddance.

Full Baywatch swimsuit print, lol.
I thought there were about 70 in total (I counted the CMF baseplates), but then I realised the base of the box was also made out of them! 145 figures in total :)
This is quite a big purchase for me. I feel a bit sick, and every so slightly er, naughty? (I haven't told the wife).
I justify it on the grounds that I think the minifigs would fetch about £90 on ebay.
The guy has very low feedback (none as a seller), but since I will be collecting and paying cash, I hope I'll be OK (unless he gets five mates to mug me!).
But do check contents, as you cant complain afterwards to ebay/paypal.

@SuperTramp I was watching that, but completely failed to spot it was the same seller. That lot definitely out of my price range. It does explain why one of my Stormtroopers is actually what appears to be a clone trooper.
Lord knows how long it will take me to work out what 10% are missing, but this is my first Star Wars set and I'm feeling pretty happy right now.
Gumtree is useful in the uk?
Gumtree is fantastic. Got some great lots of the years. It is becoming difficult to get a bargain as people seem to know what they have and ask the earth for it.
I've gotten old 12v Lego train and the newer 9v ones, castle set x3 all for 100quid then i spotted a huge trunk of Lego for 120quid was full to the top and still haven't got through all of it.
Worth looking close by your area, I have travelled to Cardiff (from Bristol) and got some great items the old Tri plane Red Baron #10024 for 12quid, was going to cardiff any way.
...and I found it amongst a few S1 stragglers in a local Tesco! :)
I felt guilty as I drove to pick up the Lego, as owners lived in a round down area, but their house was in good shape. (Painted.) I asked why not ask for more, but the owners weren’t to bothered. They had 6 people asking to post, but felt it was to heavy to post….
$100 USD
Epilogue: The Craigslist seller did show up and even though I ended up with 52 pounds of Lego bricks, the minifigure find made the transaction worth it!
It is greedy but they are proberly more concerned with having non-priced stuff on the shelves....
By the time I picked it up, he had had 6 other people call him about it. I weighed it after checking the seals, and it's within an ounce of the Bricklink weight. The seals look good, so hopefully all is well. Now I have to debate building and motorizing it, or selling it.
Oh, and bring on the $500 #10179! (Although that one will have rip-off written all over it!).
(Also, I know this isn't the marketplace but I will be having to part with these soon so if interested PM me)
Stupidly I didn't pick one up as I've never been into Lone Ranger and don't want to hoard masses...
