I surprised the standy figure on top is still there and hasn't already "walked" off.

That was my first thought on seeing the photo! How is that guy still there? Things must be way different in Italian airports.

I picked up #42138 locally for $12 this evening. The seller made it to step 12 and gave up. I gladly finished it. Not worth the $50 msrp in my opinion.

@evancelt I haven’t seen 2x4 bricks in transparent in a really long time - good find.  The couple I have are really old and yellowed.

I found a transparent 2x2 plate in a bulk lot once, it's now one of my prized possessions.

This is the opposite of a good find, but it completed four of my childhood sets.

Not a Lego brag, but I picked up a CanaKit Raspberry Pi 4B starter kit for $25 through Facebook Marketplace, never used. Right now, new SBCs are backordered everywhere, and used Pis are absurdly expensive. I’m planning to install OctoPrint and use it with my 3D printer.

I know I'm jinxing it just by typing this out, but I have a lead on a potential bulk lot. It has at least the Disney Castle, Disney Train Station, new UCS Style R2D2, Hogwarts Clock Tower, Jurassic Park T-Rex Rampage, and potentially some LOTR sets. All for a price that nearly has me in tears already if it falls through.

*standby for moving this to the "One that got away" thread...*

WELL, this won't be one for either the Brag thread or the One that got away thread. The seller was very forthcoming with information (thankfully!) and let me know that almost all of the sets are Lepin or some other knockoff brand. Only the Harry Potter set was real.

Beyond thankful for the honesty of this person as I was about to coordinate local pickup with a family member nearby the seller who would have had no idea what to look for.

I knew it was too good to be true!  My white whale continues to be elusive.

    Indeed!

Well, as if the LEGO luck decided I was due good news after the above bust, I just connected with someone locally on a bulk lot. We'll be meeting on Friday afternoon. $40 for a half full sterilite bin. I'm guessing maybe ~10-15lbs worth. So far I can identify #7263 TIE Fighter, #6206 TIE Interceptor, and #7252 Droid Tri-Fighter.

There is at least one part from an older Harry Potter set and then several other bits I'll have to work to ID. According to the seller, they should all be complete with minifigs. I won't count it as a done deal until it's in my hands. But SUPER excited about this one!

I secured a decent tub for $50 a couple days back.

I contacted the seller to see if they want the Honda key.

We sorted out a decent amount of non-LEGO, bonus Chucky Cheese token!

Still don't have my hands on the bulk lot yet (Trying to coordinate sooner so it doesn't get sold elsewhere). However, I spent more time looking through the single picture and identified parts from #7261 Clone Turbo Tank and #4757 Hogwarts Castle (2nd Edition).

I'm not sure if there is enough in the bin to complete all of these sets. I'm certainly hoping so. And, if I somehow end up with the figs from the Clone Turbo Tank, I'll be thrilled!

    2.5 days to wait!

Pretty sure this is the definition of counting my chickens before they hatch.

Clearly some non-LEGO items in there (and potentially some non-LEGO bricks). I finally figured out what the technic bricks in the top center are for. #7260 Wookiee Catamaran.

I think that represents all of the sets I can potentially identify as all the other bits I'm seeing are related to one of the other sets listed above. The only thing I can't tell is the instruction booklet in the bottom middle. Part of me think's it's a non-LEGO booklet, but not 100% sure on that.

Also, the more I look at the picture, the less convinced I am that any of these sets will be complete...unless it's a super deep bin? They are also going to check for any minifigs as they think they're in there, but not sure. Honestly, even if there was a couple of figs from each of the identified sets, that would more than cover my costs.

Still, the price is right for it if only for some more pieces into the collection.

Has anyone spotted anything I've missed? It's been awhile since I've tried to ID sets from a bulk lot picture, so felt pretty good about the ones I figured out.

Any chance that weird plane and "hoth-esque" DF.9 Laser Tower in the lower left are worth money? lol

There looks to be part of #4842 in there? At least the rocket step 3x3x2 part in same green only comes in that set - I needed 3 of these some time back for a Boba Fett moc and ended up having to order from the US as at the time none were available new or used in UK on BL.
  • Switchfoot55Switchfoot55 Member Posts: 3,359
^I was thinking that was a 4x4x2 instead of the 3x3x2. That would make it the Hogwarts Castle (2nd Edition). As a few of the other parts I'm seeing match, that's what led me to think it was the larger Cone/rocket piece?
  • 560Heliport560Heliport Member Posts: 3,925
    That's definitely a 4x4x2 cone.

You might be right, I was looking at the grey tiles on the left side of that "build" and it looks like a 1x8 and 1x2 making up that side but now I look at the bottom I see there are 3 rows of studs between the sand green slope and the grey tile.

    My bad!

Saw a bulk lot of minifigs randomly thrown together. Asking price 15 euro (equivalent). Bought the lot, today I received it. There are about 130 minifigs :o. Initially I thought there might be 50 tops
Sorting through, found a jango (version with a smile) with jetpack, but no helmet. That figure alone is about 25 euros. In total found about 30 sw figs (mostly OT in the sw400 range), a couple castle figs from the 2014 wave, the rest the usual robbers/city/firemen/ninjago.
All in all a good haul.

@FollowsClosely You got pretty lucky finding all of the white dragon plumes with the set. Mine is missing both miniplumes and I can't stomach paying the $25 to $30 EACH to replace them.
