Picked up a random 20lb lot of Lego for $100. Which is a higher than I normally pay. Wasn't sure what was inside but now I see that it contains a bunch of the Indiana Jones sets, a few complete SW sets, racetracks and the 7785 Arkham Asylum complete with minifigures.

Ooh little Scarecrow and Nightwing. How I have coveted you both... :D

^ If the Indy sets are relatively complete and in good condition, and you're not fond of them, I'm interested!
  • littletokilittletoki Member Posts: 519
    @rocao - so far I see:

    7620 Motorcycle Chase http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7620-1
    7624 Jungle Duel http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7624-1
(the tent is in pristine condition)
    7625 River Chase http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7625-1
7622 Race for Stolen Treasure http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7622-1

Will check to see if they are complete and if they're duplicates. I completely skipped this theme when it was out and regret it to this day. :\

Congrats on such a great find toki! Best was Arkham, going for over $300 on ebay nowadays.

A small brag but one I'm happy with, the City of Atlantis for € 45,00

10221 UCS Star Destroyer. Found it online for $200 instead of $300. Needless to say I was pretty stoked. People are selling it online for up to $2,000 now. It's been one of the crowning pieces of my collection for over 3 years now.

I really have to stop reading this thread, the pangs of jealousy are getting too much for me. Congrats @littletoki on such a cracking find, I'd sign away my future first born for an Arkham Asylum!

Grats to all ya'll! Hey don't forget about your "trade buddy" up here @littletoki lol. And BIG gratz to @mattheww888

That's interesting, because the set came out in 2011. How come you've owned it for three years?

    I assumed he meant 10030

Got the wrong set number. I meant 10030. I don't have the Super Star Destroyer yet, just the regular Star Destroyer from 2002.

Ah, okay. I just got extra curious since I'm really interested in finding a great deal on 10221 :)

  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
That would be awesome if you did though :)

Me too. It's like the Bermuda Triangle of Legos though: I have to have $400 saved up at the same time a sale is going, mixed with "will the wife kill me if I buy it?" scenario.

OK, I officially retract my craigslist rant thread. Picked this one up today for $300. All sets are open and assembled and appear to be relatively complete:

    7868 Mace Windu's Starfighter
    8091 Swamp Speeder
    5883 Dino Tower Takedown

    7789 Lotso's Dumptruck
    7571 Fight for the dagger
    10199 Winter Toyshop (building only)

Plus minis for about a dozen other sets.

Couldn't believe the good luck. I haven't scored one of these in awhile.

I'm gonna sell a few of them. More than likely the 7946 (Kings Castle) and the 8038 (Battle of Endor) and maybe some more. PM me if you have interest.

    ^ very nice find
  • wagnerml2wagnerml2 Member Posts: 1,376
@graphite - thanks. the photo on the ad actually had a hogwarts castle and a few others too, but the guys son took those out of the lot before I got there. Could have been even bigger! But I'm DEFINITELY not complaining!

Wow great find @wagnerml2! Such new (recent) sets, I can't believe they decided to sell them.
  • ecmo47ecmo47 Member Posts: 2,101
27x7958 (Star Wars Advent) for $10 each at Walmart. Another great buy at Walmart was last Spring when the HP Night Bus came out. For some reason, my local store put this newly released set on the cleanance so I scoopped up 13 sets for 15.00 each!
  • mattheww888mattheww888 Member Posts: 87
I didn't buy this, but to me this looks like a steal.

Sure, until he adds the $35 shipping fee. Blah.
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
@ecmo47 WOW! Awesome!! You wouldn't have any of those Knight Buses left, do you? I need that color brick for my LSU stadium MOC I am working on. That is the exact purple color I need :)
  • ecmo47ecmo47 Member Posts: 2,101
Jade: Sorry, those are all gone. I would recommend that you wait until July. I'm sure that Walmart will clearance all of their HP sets at 50% off to include Knight Bus.
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
Yeah mine around here don't mark any Lego sets down unless they are getting bought out the "backdoor" by employees when they do. Here's hoping though huh @ecmo47
  • pvancil27pvancil27 Member Posts: 588
One by me had a few bus' on the clearance shelf for a few weeks, sadly all the lego stuff was gone last time i was there earlier this week. I'll keep an eye out at others for ya though.
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
Please do! @pvancil27 As it stands, I have started the "design" in LDD. Have half the field already done. I am waiting on my ex-husband to send me close up pics from some of the areas in the stadium with interesting details. I just need to decide how detailed I want to be and dimension/scale size. I am not good at that at all. I would WELCOME any MOCers out there that could give me advice on the setting of scale, etc. To do the design in the center of the field I would need flat purple bricks and considering 1x1 plate brick in dark purple is running $0.60 EACH, and there are no 1x1 dark purple tiles available while the 1x2 tiles run $0.26 each. So ANYONE who would please keep an eye out for any sets with dark purple in them, I would be VERY appreciative of. I will of course pay you for your trouble too :)

This is not recent (back in September). I forgot if I posted this before but I got 2 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfigters from $10 each at Walmart Canada.

Oh I forgot to post one from a couple of weeks ago. Technically it wasn'y "my" find but I went online and checked the stock at some local WMs near my mom's house for a HP Burrows set . It said alot of them had them in stock but my mom never found them. Well last week she went to one of the Wm in an outlying area from her and got the last Burrows set on shelf in Lego aisle for normal price. I know, no markdown or anything that makes it a GREAT find but considering what they are going for on eBay ATM, finding ANY in a Wm at $29.99 is great to me :)
  • tk79tk79 Member Posts: 329
^ if it was $29.99, then it was actually half off and quite a deal :)

I had a decent day yesterday. I spent right around 20 bucks for:

-7288 Mobile Police Unit (open box sans minifigs, motorcycle and stickers - But it also had the boat from 4181 Isla Muerta and a few key components to 3367 Space Shuttle)
-Just bag 2 (Mater) from 8424 Mater's Spy Zone
-30053 x2 Republic Attack Cruiser poly
    -7051 Tripod Invader
-2183 Stringer 3.0 (Open, but complete)

@jadedanc I wish I had known you were looking for HP buses. They had 4-5 for $14 at walmart here for weeks.

I don't know if this counts but I am stoked about it. I just won via best offer on ebay a UCS 10134 Y-Wing for $225. No box or instructions but still, I'm really glad to finally get this set for a reasonable price.
  • gmpirategmpirate Member Posts: 1,654
^ yeah, if you don't mind missing the box and instructions the prices are much cheaper.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
For older UCS sets, I don't mind missing the box. I'll keep my eyes out for a physical copy of the instructions however.
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
Ugh!!! Dang @SweetLogan ok ANYONE find HP Knight Buses PLEASE pick me up some lol. I am starting to work on my stadium soon (still designing ATM) plus I just got 2 set to make for the new Lego store opening in Lynnwood, WA. We have about 50 in SEALug tht everyone is pitching together to make :)

I found all these at a car boot sale, can someone tell me what that yello thing is on the 2nd picture, it''s heavy like a battery I just don't know

    Guess how much for these?

    20? 30? 10 pounds!

There were two boxes, the one I didn't buy had a cracked Jango Fett torso, so not worth it though, looked everywhere for more LEGO, I did not succeed imageimageimageimageimage
  • SherlockbonesSherlockbones Member Posts: 411
I just got a butt load of LEGO, loads of Space minifigures and some castle sets...

A cardboard boxful of bricks, baseboards and things that are so useful
  • coachiecoachie Member Posts: 476
@Sherlockbones The yellow thing is probably a wind up motor. You may have a large red key somewhere that fits in the hole on the side.

Looks like you also have the "ruins" of a yellow 375 castle in there, too.
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
So went to Lego store. Got 3 Lg PAB for the half price special. Also picked up a TB today. Then met up with someone who had a CL in my area, Imperial Flagship MISB, King's Castle MISB (got this one for my best friend to build lol) and Ninjago Ice Dragon set MISB for just over $450 :)
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
I also had a lot set I got in yesterday off eBay, some odd pieces I do not recognize. Will have to take picks and post in other thread
  • ErnstErnst Member Posts: 133
Got a good one today, found 2 nice sets on Dutch Ebay. Received them today in good shape : 7092 Skeletons' Prison Carriage and 7093 Skeleton Tower for €50,00. Considering the prices on Bricklink a good deal !

    @Ernst, those are neat.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
I didn't find a great bargain but while cleaning my utility room I found about 800 Lego pieces, including minis from castle sets I had bought from 2000. I had totally forgotten I had them. I believe most of the pieces are from Leo's Castle and a jousting set while the rest are a few $5 supplements. Now if I could only find the instructions :-)
  • weinnerweinner Banned Posts: 148
Found someone online selling two MISB Mf 10179 for 900.00 USD. Looks kinda shady though. But they offer paypal moneyback guarantee, so I don't know.
  • RennyRenny Member Posts: 1,145
^ That sounds almost to good to be true. They could easily get double that on Ebay.
  • mattheww888mattheww888 Member Posts: 87
Or you could sell one to me. I'd be willing to offer $500 for one of them. There's a $100 profit for you!

My collection has passed 111111 bricks. :)

I guess my best find was a 7498-1 Police Station for £18, but a close second is the Ninjago Fire Temple for £24.95. :)
  • jadedancjadedanc Member Posts: 1,302
@Venunder WOW Very nice indeed! That would be a close one for me too but it would be Fire Temple first lol. Still gotta grab that one :)
