Green Grocer second floor

Hi,

Does anyone have a parts list (or know where to find one) for the second floor of the Green Grocer? Or better yet a brickstore file (.bsx) for it?

I added an additional floor to Cafe Corner and now everything else is too short.

Thanks,

Mike

You are really creating a slippery slope. Now you will have to add a floor to most, if not, all your buildings now.

I was contemplating a second store to my CC, but after reading this and reflecting, I think you may be right. Best to stay away...

In answer to the OP, I would pull down the GG model in LDD (the LDD file is available online) and then delete everything but the second floor. That will give you your BOM of parts needed, etc.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. I think I tried that once but now I can't remember where I found them.

Yeah, when you add one level, look what happens!

I'm so glad I have limited clearance on my modular shelf.

I made this up a while back but haven’t got around to building it yet so can’t vouch for its accuracy.

The problem is, I don't think Modulars lend themselves to any extra levels. They end up looking too tall/skinny and not wide enough to justify the height based on real proportions. They look great for the size they are originally designed in though.

I added one level to the Cafe Corner and may add an additioal one. I believe I have most of the parts for it. Green Grocer is still on my to do list for an extra level. The Fire Brigade doesn't look like another level is possible without a heavy mod.

I have something in mind for Market Street next to the Green Grocer. It's still in the planning stages.

I actually have a second level on FB. It makes it the same height as the Town Hall. I like it. Got it from the Lego store in WA. They received 15-20 level 2s and sold them for the price of 2Lg PAB cups.

@jadedanc - how'd that work? I haven't looked inside Fire Brigade in a while but isn't it only two floors with the pole slide thingy?

That's pretty cool though. I have three extra FBs so I could just get one from there.

It's normally 2 floors plus the roof. So you just build the extra floor like floor 2. I added some beds and furniture in the extra floor for the firemen :) Here it is next to my hardware store.

@jadedanc‌ - Thanks for posting that. It does look pretty good with the extra floor and I like the idea of a sleep room for the firefighters. I guess I have work to do. :-)

^^Hey, I built the hardware store too! Might have to give it the extra level treatment too if I can fit in an interior staircase. It's next in line to get a reinforced base with the wider side walk like the Speakeasy and Petshops. Im still working on street designs. Black doesnt show off the vehicles very well so am thinking of using Light Blue Gray tiles.
