First Time LEGO Seller - Asking for Advice

I'm thinking about eventually selling some of my SW LEGO sets through Amazon. This would be the first time I've done something like this, so any advice would be helpful.

Don't do it through Amazon would be mine. High percentages taken by them and the Amazon customer almost always gets their way. Prices may seem higher there but there's a reason for it. I would go with eBay or bricklink.

Amazon is a nice place to sell, for the regular seller. It can be rough for new sellers due to the extremely buyer friendly policies Amazon has.

You can also get banned very quickly there, for life, for infractions you might consider minor, but Amazon does not.

First and very simple rule when selling on Amazon. You are a business, selling to consumers, everything you do needs to be as if you were a professional business.

The excuse, "I'm not a business, I'm just selling a few personal things" does not fly on Amazon.

You don't say if they are new or used. I reckon you'll be better off at bricklink or eBay.

Also take into account what you are trying to sell on eBay or BL.
If you are trying to sell a set where there are 100 of other people on eBay (or BL) trying to sell the same set then be ready to sit on them. Also account for the fact you are giving up about 15% percent (give or take) for your sale on eBay to eBay and Paypal fees.

I'm not too keen on the idea of using eBay.

    @CCC, they are used sets.

The sets that I'm thinking about selling are:

    7101 Lightsaber Duel
    7103 Jedi Duel
    7113 Tusken Raider Encounter
    7190 Millennium Falcon
    7150 TIE & Y Wing
    7144 Slave I
    7257 Ultimate Lightsaber Duel
    7200/01 Final Duel I/II

    Then definitely don't use amazon.

Advertise them here in the marketplace, or bricklink.

For so few sets and used, if you don't want eBay, Bricklink should be the way to go, not Amazon.

If you're looking to just dump a few, toss them on ebay or craigslist, not unlike how you'd sell a baseball card, or a lamp.

If, however, you're looking to do this for some income, read completely through this thread: http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/1958/predictions-on-discontinuing-sets-and-their-secondary-market-value#latest to give you a feel for what you're getting yourself into.

And then, if you find the info, please let me know how to get a 27% discount on Exclusive sets!

    Thanks!

Heh, I figure if you can slosh your way through that thread and come out not hating life at the other end, you've got potential as a reseller.
