Minifig Heads- Better from Bricklink or Lego Store?

I'm looking to pick up maybe 20 various minifig heads to add variety to my ADU troops...I've looked at Bricklink and wonder if I am better off going through and picking out individual heads, or asking the store owner to just send me a variety, or even go to the Lego Store and grab from the build-a-fig bin. Problem with the last option is that the nearest store is 3 hours away...I've never dealt with Bricklink before, hence my question.
Any help appreciated.

If you're looking for variety, don't use the build-a-fig bin. There are a few different types, but not a lot. I'd also recommend picking your own minifig heads, since you know what you're looking for. The BrickLink store owner might give you a good selection, or they might decide to give you the stuff that won't sell otherwise. Or they might pick things you already own, or don't want.

Only question with BrickLink is the element quality. Just make sure the seller is reputable, and/or the parts listed are "new", and you should be OK.

Thanks Dave for the suggestions. I think I will take a look through Bricklink and see what I can scare up. :-)

The other problem with the Lego store is that you can't buy JUST heads. They only sell complete figures in packs of 3 for $9.99

Generally don't buy from the figure building station unless you find some RARE elements. I was once there and found brown surfer hair, birthday cake torsos, and other hard-to-get items. Otherwise everything will be cheaper through Bricklink even with shipping. It's also the only place to get a large variety of heads in one fell swoop.

There are 16 different heads available from Shop-at-Home right now not counting the skull and unprinted pieces.
