    @wrangler6915, based on taxes involved that might not save you much money compared to buying it at [email protected] during double VIP with free shipping next month (9 lbs large package)

    Even though that comparison doesn't take a Redcard into consideration, it's also assuming you are a fan of VIP points. I have bought so very (very) little from Lego direct in the past year+, those points don't mean nearly to me what they may have in the past.

    You still have to pay taxes at lego.com. If you were able to get them at target it should of been a extra 10% off each of them even without a redcard. It was also free shipping at target.

    @doubledbrick, it is not free shipping when @wrangler6915 asked someone who bought two to ship one of them to him.

    Taxes are the kicker for that deal, for example, I get sales tax of 7% when buying from target.com and 2.9% from [email protected] (but 6.81% and 9% at the 2 LEGO store within 30 miles from me)

    ^ I wonder how [email protected] got so low on the sales tax? Did it only charge state portion of the sales tax without local portion? [email protected] charges full sales tax not just state portion here.

    @JeffH yes, 2.9% is the state portion, I should pay 6% where I live (75% of my zip code is in the 7%, the other 25% in the 6%, I battle it only when it is a big purchase...)

    ^ I wish [email protected] only charges state portion here as well instead of full amount but it is already 6.25% just for the state alone. :( It is no brainer for [email protected] for you since you can even lower the RRP price with discover.

    Chima, ick, but $26 for the Combat Lair can't be ignored for pieces alone. Also, $11 for the Spider Cycle is an absolute steal.

    So I was checking daily hoping that Tower of Orthanc and X-Wing will both be in stock at the same time so that I can get the BOGO40... well, good news is that both are in stock, but bad news is that BOGO40 for both no longer available...

    On the side note, my theory about the "price match lag" came true again for the Spider-Cycle: After Amazon dropped their price to match Target's sale, Target matched it again, thus lowering the Spider-cycle price to $11.99 + BOGO40 + 5% Redcard... (as I typed this, the Spider-cycle and others just sold out).

    In case anyone is interested, the #70008 Gorzan's Gorilla Striker is approx 50% after discounts, when buying two, of course...

    The BOGO40%OFF is online only. I tried to get the service desk to apply it before on a similar deal and the clerk said she can't do it. So it may be YMMV, even if one can find the items in store. I think the only way to get the BOGO discount is using in-store pickup option.

    Thats what I was trying to do but the store locator wasnt working. It finally worked after several attempts and I'm picking up my sets in a little bit.

    I received my 2 #10237 Towers today. Everything looked good....except for the new UPS driver seems to enjoy tempting the neighbors by putting leaving packages outside leaning up against the garage doors. 3 more feet and hit could put them inside.

    FYI:
    Gorilla Striker matched Amazon. About $20 each for two.

    Smallville and a few others have gone up in price.

    Picked up a few sets at target yesterday and notice something new at one of the store.. anti thief device on the front of the box. Is that a new trend at target ?
