Well Abe is easy actually, just feel for the 2x2 tile, then the legs. But Ralph and Millhouse both have short legs. Marge also has a tile but you can feel her hair really easy.

Went to the LEGO Store today and was going to pick up some more of these with my Sea Cow. And there was a limit to only 5 per customer. I got 4 different ones of the four I purchased however I needed 6.

This was kind of weird and with the other series I had never seen this before in LEGO stores. Has this happened to anybody at their store or with previous series? Or is this new?

The store I go to has a limit of 16 I believe. Online it is 32.
I guess it depends on store manager discretion (are the known resellers that are buying to sell, did they get only one box, etc) unfortunately.

When I found Ralph his head was the first part I found and I thought it was pretty obvious, but all the others the accessories have all been made IDing easy. I don't bother getting all at once so I'm at 7 so far no doubles.

Marge's Head with hair is three bricks tall by itself. Her full height is just over 6 bricks.

I managed to get the full set of 16 today.
Using TRU vouchers and Lego gift cards they cost nothing. :)

Decided to take the easy way out this time . Bought a full set off Ebay for a few dollars more then retail . By the time I figured in gas it's about the same cost . Nice figures though Marge of course won't fit standing in my cases .

Saw these at Meijer today - fresh display and priced at $3.00 a pack. I almost gave in, but decided to stick to the original plan and pass. I've never been that big of a Simpsons fan.

Fry's electronics carry them. I found a fairly fresh box in the Palo Alto Fry's. $3.99 An employee told me they put out a bunch of boxes already and they sell fast!

Kmart has them for 2.99 each. Got my two sets and took others back that i purchased at toys r us. Worth the effort for 32 dollar savings.

I went into the Fred Meyer by my house last night (West Coast version of Meijer's) and the price was $4.50. For the Lego Movie CMFs, this store had them for $3 but managed to sell 8 boxes in less than two weeks, so the price hike is not without merit.

I'm a bit afraid to see what Walgreen will sell them at, since they had Lego Movie CMFs at $4.

Positive. I'm pretty sure I have read other posts stating they have been found at Meijer for $3.00 as well.

As much as I love these figures, it is a bit disappointing how Marge's shoes aren't printed on her legs. How does Lisa get them but Marge doesn't? I'd love to find out if it was a goof, or if it was on purpose

I'd imagine its because the shoes on Lisa are done with the new 2 part moulding which i think has only been done on the short legs so far

Ahhh. that makes sense, but sucks for the regular legs. :/

(again speculating here but) I think that the standard legs might be harder to do in that way because of the stud holes in the back. I'd like to think they were working on developing them, but then I'd also like to think they were working on some articulating short legs too and no sign of any :-P

They could have printed red shoes on the fronts of the regular legs though. It has been done for numerous other CMFs.

articulating short legs do exist.. I saw them on in the LEGO Simpsons episode, Bart sitting at the table, Maggie crawling on the floor :)

It's a shame they don't put stickers inside the packets, and do a global buy X, get 1 free.

They could do the same with instruction books for regular sets - one token in a £12 set, four in a £50 set. Collect 50 tokens and get a free poly from a selection by sending away.

So far I've got 10, with only 1 duplicate. Which is pretty good considering I hadn't felt up any of them.

That ties in with the boxes being packed in consecutive batches of the same character rather than randomised.

Just opened a Movie CMF pack and it is just as stinky as the Simpsons ones.

I'm not the biggest Simpsons fan, but since my local Meijer had them priced at $3.00 I decided to knock a set out. This was def. one of the easiest sets to feel for. I had my 16 in and out in no time. I'm also not noticing the smell that others have reported, but that may be the allergies.

I'm not a big fan of the cloth skirts in CMFs (or any characters). Robes / cloaks are OK and probably necessary for many characters until they come up with a decent solid cape, but I much prefer an all plastic figure. Many other (mainly female) characters get nice printed skirts on slopes rather than cloth.

Anyhow, I've been playing around with Marge (don't tell Homer) and with she looks really good with a lime green Slope 75 2 x 2 x 3 instead of the skirt. The extra height makes the extra-large hair look much more in proportion. It's a shame that she is then way too tall compared to the other minifigs though. She also looks good on a couple of Slope 65 2 x 1 x 2 bricks, it's shame they don't do a 2x2x2 version in lime like normal dress pieces.

Another thing that looks quite good is a 2x1 lime brick to continue the dress, a couple of yellow 1x1 round for legs, and a couple of horizontal teeth pieces for shoes. I only have dark red rather than normal red, but even so, shoes for Marge!

As for Lisa, she doesn't look bad without the skirt on as the red part of the legs looks like the dress end anyway. I think I actually prefer he without the cloth skirt.

I actually prefer the cloth skirts (although I'll admit they aren't perfect) unless its for a formal dress, then the printed sloped pieces are better as you say, but i couldn't imagine a decent plastic cape.

I wish that TLG would make it so you don't have to fold the cloth skirts. They're usually very annoying to put on.

Yeah... I hate the cloth skirts. I honestly dislike the cloth pieces in general though - including capes. My biggest issue is that they simply won't age well. They can get dirty, wrinkled, and can fade. This is especially true if you allow the little ones to occasionally play your fig collection. None of my figs get their cloth accessories put on which means I have a few partially naked CMF hanging around. I started the "Where's my pants" show long before the Lego Movie.

^ That's my feeling too. Plus molded ones hang just right, whereas you have to fiddle with cloth ones to get them exactly centred.

I saw two boxes in a Bellevue, WA Fred Meyer today. Even though the price tag said $4.99 (!) per minifig they checked out at $3.99 each at the register. Just a heads up to anyone in the Pacific NorthWest :)

Just acquired 10 from an Argos branch, and was lucky to get all different figures. Argos are the only stockists in the UK who seem to be selling below the RRP of £2.50 (at £2.30) and of those I've visited, they've kept the stock behind the scenes, so you order so many, and you'll get random packets.

@Praias - first find the 2x2 tile...it's either Marge, Abe, Milhouse or Ralph. Marge is easy to rule out b/c of her head. Abe, has a weird shaped head but you can feel the top of his head for his spikey hair. Also, if you find normal legs you know it's not Milhouse or Ralph.

After ruling the older ones out, if you're down to just two bags w/ 2x2 tiles and short legs, feel the head. Ralph's head is smooth like a ball. It's nice and round while Milhouse has a lot of definition to it. Hope that helps!
